Knattspyrnufélag Fjallabyggðar (KF) is an Icelandic football club from the towns Ólafsfjörður and Siglufjörður who form the municipality Fjallabyggð, currently playing in the 2. deild karla. Their main colours are blue and white as a tertiary. History of KS and Leiftur ''Íþróttafélagið Leiftur'', from Ólafsfjörður, having spent most of their history in the lower leagues, were promoted to the Úrvalsdeild karla for the 1988 season, but went straight back down to the 1. deild karla (at the time, the 2.deild). They were promoted again in 1994 to the top league for the 1995 Úrvalsdeild season having missed out by a point in 1993. Knattspyrnudeild Vestra, also known as Vestri, is the football department of the Íþróttafélagið Vestri multi-sport club and is based in Ísafjarðarbær, Iceland. Men's History The club was founded in 1986 as the football department of ''Badmintonfélag Ísafjarðar'', or BÍ for short. It first participated in the Icelandic tier-4 league, then known as 4. deild karla, that same year and their first coach was former Icelandic international player Björn Helgason. In 1988, Ísafjörður biggest club, Íþróttabandalag Ísafjarðar (ÍBÍ), folded after years of financial difficulties and most of their players moved over to BÍ who took over as the town's major football club. The club took up the name BÍ'88 to mark the new beginning and Jóhann Króknes Torfason was hired as the head coach. UMFS Dalvík (officially named Ungmennafélag Svarfdæla, usually referred to as Dalvík, previously referred to as Svarfdælir) is an Icelandic sports club located in Dalvík. The club has had competitors in various sports in Iceland, most notably football, athletics and basketball. The club currently has no senior football team but is part of the Dalvík/Reynir cooperation and has youth teams playing in national competitions. Knattspyrnufélag Fjarðabyggðar (KFF) was an Icelandic football club from the town of Fjarðabyggð located on the east coast of Iceland. History The club was founded in 2001 with a merger of three local clubs, ''Íþróttafélagið Þróttur Neskaupstað'', ''Ungmennafélagið Austri Eskifirði'' and ''Ungmennafélagið Valur Reyðarfirði''.
