1990–91 A.C. Milan Season
A.C. Milan did not defend their European Cup title for a second consecutive time. The second place in 1990–91 Serie A, Serie A was the fourth consecutive season when Milan finished inside the top three of the league. The loss in the European Cup quarter-finals rendered a first trophyless season since 1987, which resulted in Arrigo Sacchi leaving his job to take over the national team, being replaced by ex-Juventus and AC Milan midfielder Fabio Capello. Mauro Tassotti
Mauro Tassotti (; born in Rome, 19 January 1960) is an Italian manager and former footballer who played predominantly as a right-back. He currently serves as an assistant coach at Genoa. After making his Serie A debut with Lazio, he went on to play with AC Milan for 17 years. He won 17 major titles with Milan, including five Serie A championships and three UEFA Champions League tournaments, reaching five finals in total. Stefano Nava
Stefano Nava (born 19 February 1969) is an Italian football manager and former footballer, who played as a defender. He is best known for having played for A.C. Milan in the early 1990s, where he was a backup for players such as Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Mauro Tassotti and Alessandro Costacurta. Career Nava began his career in 1985 with Pro Sesto, before joining the Milan Youth Squad. In 1988, he made his professional debut in Serie C1 with Virescit Boccaleone, and during the next season, he moved to Serie B side Reggiana. Paolo Maldini
Paolo Cesare Maldini (; born 26 June 1968) is an Italian former professional footballer who played primarily as a left back and centre back for AC Milan and the Italy national team. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of all time. As the Milan and Italy captain for many years he was nicknamed "''Il Capitano''" ("The Captain"). Maldini held the record for most appearances in Serie A, with 647, until 2020, when he was overtaken by Gianluigi Buffon. Gianluca Grassadonia (born 20 May 1972) is an Italian professional football coach. He is the head coach of Lazio Women. Playing career Born in Salerno, Grassadonia started his playing career by growing from the youth ranks of hometown club Salernitana and then making his senior debut in 1988. Alessandro Costacurta
Alessandro Costacurta (born 24 April 1966) is an Italian football pundit, manager and a former professional defender, who usually played as a centre back. Franchino Baresi (; born 8 May 1960) is an Italian football youth team coach and a former player and manager. He mainly played as a sweeper or as a central defender, and spent his entire 20-year career with Serie A club AC Milan, captaining the club for 15 seasons. Sebastiano Rossi (born 20 July 1964) is an Italian retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.
