The 1989–90 Associate Members' Cup, known as the 1989–90 Leyland DAF Cup, was the seventh staging of the Associate Members' Cup, a knock-out competition for English football clubs in the Third Division and the Fourth Division. David Stephen Mehew (born 29 October 1967) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Bristol Rovers, Exeter City and Walsall. He previously managed Gloucester City and Mangotsfield United. Playing career He began his career at Leeds United, before moving to Bristol Rovers. Stephen Yates (born 29 January 1970) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. As a player who played as a defender, who notably played in the Premier League for Queens Park Rangers, as well as in the English Football League for Bristol Rovers, Tranmere Rovers, Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town and Morecambe. Brian Parkin (born 12 October 1965) is a former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper and works as academy director at Team Bath. Parkin was born in Birkenhead, Cheshire. He began his career at Oldham Athletic. He was on the books of eight different teams, although he never made an appearance for Brighton & Hove Albion or Yeovil Town, despite being contracted to them. John King (footballer Born 1938)
John Allen King (15 April 1938 – 30 March 2016) was an English football player and manager. He is widely regarded as being the most successful manager in the history of Tranmere Rovers, and had a stand at Prenton Park named in his honour in 2002. In November 2014, a statue of King was unveiled outside the ground. He played at wing half, and made 411 league appearances in a 14-year career in the Football League. He began his career at Everton, playing for the club in the top-flight between 1957 and 1960. He then moved on to Tranmere Rovers via Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic. He helped Rovers to win promotion out of the Fourth Division in 1966–67, before he signed with Port Vale in June 1968. Eddie Bishop
Edward Michael Bishop (born 28 November 1961) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played in the Football League in England for Tranmere Rovers, Chester City and Crewe Alexandra and also played and managed in non-league football. He is the elder brother of comedian John Bishop. Anthony Thomas (born 12 July 1971) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender in the Football League for Tranmere Rovers, where he spent the majority of his career, in the Premier League for Everton and in the Scottish Premier League for Motherwell. Career Thomas was born in Liverpool. He began his career as a junior with Tranmere Rovers reserves, and quickly advanced through the ranks.
