1989–90 FC Bayern Munich Season
The 1989–90 FC Bayern Munich season was the 90th season in the club's history and 25th season since promotion from Regionalliga Süd in 1965. Bayern won its 11th Bundesliga title. The club also reached the third round of the DFB-Pokal and the semifinals of the European Cup. Bayern finished as runner-up in the DFB-Supercup losing to Borussia Dortmund. Marius Mihai Lăcătuș (; born 5 April 1964) is a Romanian football coach and former professional footballer. He is by far the most successful footballer ever to play for Steaua București and was part of their European Cup victory in 1986. Lăcătuș is the all-time top scorer for Steaua with 16 goals in European competitions. On 7 July 2021, Steaua retired his shirt number 7 at the inauguration match of the new Steaua Stadium. Manfred Bender
Manfred Bender (born 24 May 1966) is a German football manager and former player. He last managed Austria Klagenfurt. Between 1989 and 1999 he played for FC Bayern Munich, Karlsruher SC and 1860 Munich. In total Bender played 229 games in the Bundesliga, scoring 42 goals. Bender is most fondly remembered for a goal scored against Oliver Kahn and Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Career In summer 1989, Bender was playing in the second level of the Bundesliga, for SpVgg Unterhaching, then FC Bayern Munich. The original ''FC Steaua București'' team was part of the namesake CSA Steaua București sports club and belonged to the Ministry of National Defence.
