The 2nd Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on April 18, 1988, from the The Adventures of Conan: A Sword and Sorcery Spectacular, Conan Sword and Sorcery Spectacular Arena at Universal Studios Hollywood. This was the first event held under this title, and first to feature a live audience, as well as celebrity hosts and attendees, while the first Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, ceremony occurred the previous year in 1987 as ''The Big Ballot'', and only featured taped segments linked together by its studio hosts. The show also featured the first "KCA trophy", which was created by original logo designers Tom Corey and Scott Nash. ''La Bamba'' is a 1987 American biographical drama film written and directed by Luis Valdez. The film follows the life and short-lived musical career of Mexican-American Chicano rock and roll star Ritchie Valens. The film stars Lou Diamond Phillips as Valens, Esai Morales, Rosanna DeSoto, Elizabeth Peña, Danielle von Zerneck and Joe Pantoliano. ''Finders Keepers'' is an American children's game show that debuted on Nickelodeon in 1987 and later aired in first-run syndication starting in 1988. The show featured two teams of two children attempting to find hidden objects in different rooms of a house. The Nickelodeon version premiered on November 2, 1987, and was hosted by Wesley Eure. Following this version's cancellation, Larry Toffler hosted a syndicated version that premiered on September 12, 1988. Gameplay Main Game The main game was played in two rounds, each with two halves.
