World Team Squash Championships
The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations. Stephen W. Cunningham (July 29, 1886 – July 28, 1956) was the first graduate manager at the Southern Branch of the University of California, later UCLA, and a member of the Los Angeles City Council from 1933 to 1941. Personal life Cunningham was born July 29, 1886 in San Bernardino, California, the son of Reuben F. Cunningham of Nova Scotia and Annie B. Magee of Ohio. He was educated in the San Bernardino and Riverside public schools and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1910. He was president of the student body there. Cunningham was married to Frances Lippincott Flint of Los Angeles in 1919. Ross Norman
Ross William Norman (born 7 January 1959) is a former professional squash player from New Zealand. He is best remembered for winning the World Open in 1986, when he beat Jahangir Khan of Pakistan in the final 9-5, 9-7, 7-9, 9-1. The win marked the end of an unbeaten run for Khan that had stretched for over five years (the longest in the history of professional sport). Norman had been ranked the World No. 2 behind Khan for some time going into the match, but despite a single-minded determination to end his unbeaten run had been unable to end the total dominance that the Pakistani had held over the game. Norman had vowed: "One day Jahangir will be slightly off his game and I will get him." That day finally came in the final of squash's biggest tournament, which was held that year in Toulouse, France. Steven Kwan (born September 5, 1997) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022. Raymond Arnold (b.1950) is an Australian printmaker and painter based in Queenstown, Tasmania. Career Born in Melbourne, Arnold visited Queenstown, Tasmania during his teens and witnessed the impact mining had on the local landscape. He would later move to the town and feature the Queenstown landscape in his work. Arnold studied art and teaching in Melbourne, and worked as a high school teacher until 1976 when he left to pursue further study at Chisholm Institute. After moving to Tasmania in 1983 he taught art at the University of Tasmania. During the 1990s, Arnold spent time in France further developing his printmaking work. Since 2005 he has lived and worked in Queenstown with his partner, artists Helena Demczuk. They set up Landscape Art Research Queenstown (LARQ) in 2006, which hosted local and international artists over ten years.
