1987 European Competition For Women's Football
The 1987 European Competition for Women's Football took place in Norway. It was won by the hosts in a final against defending champions Sweden. Once again, the competition began with four qualifying groups, but this time a host nation was selected for the semi-final stage onwards after the four semi-finalists were identified. Trude Stendal
Trude Margaret Stendal (born 30 May 1963 in Bergen) is a Norwegian former footballer. She played as a forward for Toppserien club IL Sandviken and the Norway women's national football team. She scored twice in the Norwegians' 2–1 win over Sweden in the final of the 1987 European Competition for Women's Football. During her football career Stendal also worked in a bank. She trained as a nurse when injury brought about her premature retirement from football. Stendal had injured her knee in a match against the United States a month after the Euro 1987 final. After making her comeback, she broke her leg in a 1991 Norwegian Women's Cup match against Trondheims-Ørn and was forced to retire. Moss, Norway
is a coastal town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Moss. The city of Moss was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt) and City in 1720. The rural municipality of Jeløy was merged with the city on 1 July 1943. The former municipality of Rygge was merged into it on January 1, 2020. Its administrative district covers areas east of the town, such as the island of Dillingøy in the lake Vansjø. Union of European Football Associations (UEFA ; french: Union des associations européennes de football; german: Union der europäischen Fußballverbände) is one of six continental bodies of governance in association football. Lena Videkull
Lena Mari Anette Videkull (born 6 December 1962) is a Swedish former association football forward who won 111 caps for the Sweden women's national football team, scoring 71 goals. Videkull can be seen in the Sveriges Television documentary television series '' The Other Sport'' from 2013. Club career Videkull won the Damallsvenskan championship six times in her career. She was the league's top goalscorer on a record six occasions. International career Videkull made her senior Sweden debut in the final of the first UEFA championships for national women's teams in May 1984. Sweden beat England 1–0 in the first leg at Ullevi, then prevailed in a penalty shootout at Kenilworth Road, Luton after a 1–0 defeat. The Danish Football Union ( da, Dansk Boldspil-Union; DBU) is the governing body of football in Denmark. It is the organization of the Danish football clubs and runs the professional Danish football leagues and the men's and women's national teams. Peter Mikkelsen (referee)
Peter Mikkelsen (1 May 1960 – 30 January 2019) was a Danish football referee. He refereed five matches at FIFA World Cups: two in 1990 and three in 1994. He also refereed at two UEFA European Championship tournaments: in 1992 and in 1996. From 2008 to his death, Mikkelsen worked in the human resource department of the Danish company F-Group. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken (county), Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Elisabetta Vignotto (born 13 January 1954), nicknamed "Betty", is an Italian former footballer who played as a striker. Club career At club level Vignotto represented numerous different clubs in Serie A. In 1986 she told ''la Repubblica'': "So far I've changed teams ten times. But it's not that I'm capricious. The teams broke up." According to the ''Dizionario del Calcio Italiano'', she scored 467 goals in 461 Serie A appearances. She was the chairman ( it, presidente, lit=president) of A.S.D.
