1985–86 Toronto Maple Leafs Season
The 1985–86 Toronto Maple Leafs season was the 69th season of the franchise and its 59th season as the Maple Leafs. Despite posting the fourth-worst record in the league, the Leafs qualified for the last playoff spot in a very weak Norris Division; the division champion Chicago Black Hawks only recorded 86 points. The Leafs' .356 winning percentage is the fourth-worst in franchise history, and one of the worst ever for a playoff qualifier. Despite this, the Leafs swept the Hawks in three games in the Norris Semi-finals before being eliminated by the St. Louis Blues in a seven-game Norris Final. Dave Thomlinson
David N. Thomlinson (born October 22, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger who played in the National Hockey League for the St. Louis Blues, Boston Bruins and the Los Angeles Kings between 1989 and 1995. The rest of his career was mainly spent in the minor International Hockey League. The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is one of the top junior hockey leagues in the United States and is in its 48th season of operation in 2022–23. It is the only Tier II junior league sanctioned by USA Hockey, and acts as an alternative to the Tier I United States Hockey League (USHL). Kent School is a private, co-educational, college preparatory boarding school in Kent, Connecticut, United States. Frederick Herbert Sill established the school in 1906. The North Bay Centennials were a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League, who played from 1982–2002. The team was based in North Bay, Ontario. History The North Bay Centennials or "Cents" as they were popularly known, were named after the 100th anniversary of the railroad in North Bay. The team came to the city in 1982 after the new owners of the Niagara Falls Flyers failed to get a deal for a new arena, and chose to relocate to North Bay which already had an adequate facility in operation. Jeffrey Michael Serowik (born January 10, 1967) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. He played 28 games in the National Hockey League with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, and Pittsburgh Penguins between 1990 and 1998.
