Martin Hicks
Martin Hicks (born 27 February 1957) is a former footballer who played in the Football League as a defender for Reading and Birmingham City. He made 500 League appearances for Reading. Hicks holds the record for the highest number of first team appearances by a Reading player, making a total of 603 first team appearances. In a 2005 fans' vote to compile Reading's best-ever eleven, Hicks was voted on the team as one of the centre backs. Between March and August 1979, Hicks was one of the Reading back five that kept a clean sheet for 1,103 minutes – a record that stood until broken by Manchester United. Dean Horrix
Dean Victor Horrix (21 November 1961 – 11 March 1990), was an English Soccer, footballer. He joined Millwall F.C., Millwall as a Striker (association football), striker and made 65 league appearances plus 7 as substitute, scoring 19 goals, in the Football League Third Division. He was sold to Gillingham F.C., Gillingham in 1983 and joined Reading F.C., Reading later the same year. He formed a successful striking partnership with Trevor Senior and was very popular with the fans, helping the Royals win promotion to the Third Division in 1984 and the Second Division in 1986. He was also part of the team that won the Full Members' Cup in 1988, but were relegated from the Second Division in the same season. He then rejoined Millwall, who had just reached the Football League First Division, but was unable to break up the partnership of Tony Cascarino and Teddy Sheringham, and played just 11 league games in 18 months. Kevin Bremner
Kevin Johnston Bremner (born 7 October 1957) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He made nearly 450 appearances in the English and Scottish Football Leagues, representing ten different clubs. Football career Bremner was born in Banff, which is now in Aberdeenshire. He began his senior career as an 18-year-old with home-town club Deveronvale of the Highland League; he had been with the club since he was 14 years of age. In the 1977–78 season, he was part of the team which defeated Huntly to win the Bell's Cup; he finished the season as leading scorer with 27 goals and won the club's player of the year award. Celtic manager Billy McNeill had invited him for a two-week trial, but no contract offer ensued and Bremner left Deveronvale for fellow Highland League club Keith. Michael Stuart Beavon (born 30 November 1958 in Wolverhampton, England) is an English former association football, footballer. Career Tottenham Hotspur Beavon started his association football, football career as an apprentice with Tottenham Hotspur F.C., Tottenham Hotspur. He then joined the first-team squad in 1978, and spent time on loan at Notts County F.C., Notts County for the 1979-80 in English football, 1979-80 season.
