Valeriy Aleksandrovich Abramov (22 August 1956, Yertsevo, Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia – 14 September 2016, Moscow, Russia) was a long-distance runner from the Soviet Union. Honoured master of sports of USSR. He trained under the direction of Leonid Beliaev (Honoured coach of the USSR and Russia). Career Eleven-time champion of the USSR: 1976 – 1500 m (juniors); 1978 – 1500 m, 4 × 800 m (relay race), 3000 m (hall); 1979 – 5000 m; 1981 – 3000 m (hall), 8000 m (cross); 1982 – 3000 m (hall), 1983 – 1500 m, 3000 m (hall); 1987 - 10,000 m. Winner of the Spartakiad of Peoples of the USSR in 1979 at the distance of 5000 meters. In 1981 he won the USA-USSR match, representing the USSR national team. Stefano Mei (born 3 February 1963 in La Spezia) is an Italian long-distance runner who specialized in the 5000 and 10000 metres. European champion on 10000 m in 1986. From 31 January 2021 he is the new president of Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL). Biography Stefano Mei won eight medals, at senior level, at the International athletics competitions. He participated at two editions of the Summer Olympics (1984 and 1988), he has 42 caps in national team from 1981 to 1994. In his career he won 8 times the national championships. Since 2 December 2012 Stefano Mei was Federal Councillor of the Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera (FIDAL), in the Franco Arese leaderships. Karl Fleschen (born 28 June 1955 in Daun, Rhineland-Palatinate) is a retired West German runner who specialized in the 3000, 5000 and 10,000 metres. He held the world record in the rarely contested 4 x 1500 metres relay (14:38.8 minutes with Thomas Wessinghage, Harald Hudak and Michael Lederer). Zdravko Todorov ( bg, Здравко Тодоров; born 28 November 1982) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a striker. He was raised in Beroe Stara Zagora's youth teams. Gábor Szabó (athlete)
Gábor István Szabó (March 8, 1936 – February 26, 1982) was a Hungarian American guitarist whose style incorporated jazz, pop, rock, and Hungarian music. Early years Szabó was born in Budapest, Hungary. He began playing guitar at the age of 14. In the aftermath of the Hungarian revolution of 1956, he moved to California and later attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston between 1958 and 1960. Career In 1961, Szabó became member of a quintet that was led by Chico Hamilton and included Charles Lloyd, playing what has been described as chamber jazz, with "a moderate avant-gardism." Szabó was influenced by the rock music of the 1960s, particularly the use of feedback. In 1965 he was in a jazz pop group led by Gary McFarland, then worked again with Lloyd in an energetic quartet with Ron Carter and Tony Williams. Stig Roar Husby (born 12 September 1954 in Trondheim, Sør-Trøndelag) is a retired Norwegian long-distance runner. He represented Strindheim IL and IL i BUL. In 3000 metres he finished fourth at the 1973 European Junior Championships and eighth at the 1985 European Indoor Championships. He finished tenth in marathon at the 1983 World Championships but did not finish at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
