1984–85 Iowa Hawkeyes Men's Basketball Team
The 1984–85 Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team represented the University of Iowa as members of the Big Ten Conference. The team was led by second-year head coach George Raveling and played their home games at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. They finished the season 21–11, 10–8 in Big Ten play to finish in a tie for fifth place. The Hawkeyes received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 8 seed in the West Region, losing in the First Round to Arkansas. George Raveling
George Henry Raveling (born June 27, 1937) is an American former college basketball player and coach. The Gonzaga Bulldogs are an intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Gonzaga University. The school competes in the West Coast Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Little Rock Trojans men's basketball team (formerly branded as the Arkansas–Little Rock Trojans) represents the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. Bradley Allen Lohaus (born September 29, 1964) is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Boston Celtics in the second round (45th pick overall) of the 1987 NBA Draft. Jeffrey J. Moe (born May 19, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the Continental Basketball Association for the Cedar Rapids Silver Bullets during the first part of the 1988–89 season before being released in late December 1988. Moe played collegiately at the University of Iowa from 1984 to 1988 before being selected in the 1988 NBA draft. Clarence William Jones (born March 18, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player. His professional career spanned from 1989 to 2001, and included stops in the National Basketball Association, Continental Basketball Association, France, Italy, and Venezuela.
