1984–85 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship
The 1984–85 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 15th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club hurling tournament. The championship began on 30 September 1984 and ended on 24 March 1985. Ballyhale Shamrocks from Kilkenny were the defending champions, however, they failed to qualify after being beaten by St. Martin's in the Kilkenny Championship. On 24 March 1985, St. Martin's won the championship after a 1-13 to 1-10 defeat of Castlegar in the All-Ireland final replay at Semple Stadium. It remains their only All-Ireland title. Tom Moran from the St. Martin's club was the championship's top scorer with 7-16. Tom Neville (hurler)
Thomas Neville (1939 – 19 October 2018) was an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Wexford senior team. Biography Born in Fethard-on-Sea, County Wexford, Neville first played competitive hurling in his youth. He made his senior debut for the Wexford senior team during the 1960 championship. Neville went on to play a key part for Wexford during a successful era for the county, and won two All-Ireland medals, five Leinster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Neville won three Railway Cup medals. At club level he won one championship medal with Geraldine O'Hanrahan's. Throughout his career Neville made 27 championship appearances. Éire Óg-Corrachoill (; "Young Ireland-Prosperous, County Kildare, Prosperous") is a hurling club based in the parish of Caragh in County Kildare. The parish of Caragh includes the village of Caragh itself, surrounding townlands and Prosperous village which is situated about 3 km north-west from the village. The club is the result of an amalgamation which occurred in 1994 between Éire Óg of Caragh and Corra Choill of Prosperous. The first record of any kind of success in the Caragh parish area involves the Clongorey Campaigners. RIC records from 1890 show that Clongorey Campaigners had 38 members with Dan Kelly, John Murphy, Pat Fullam and James Kelly listed as officers. O'Tooles GAC (Irish: ''Cumann Uí Thuathail'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ayrfield, Dublin, Ireland, formed in 1901. History Early years O'Tooles GAC was formed in 1901 at 100 Seville Place in the north inner city of Dublin from the Gaelic League branch. The Gaelic League branch held their inaugural meeting in February 1901. Francis Cahill was one of the founding members of the club and Brother J.A. Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship
The Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Leinster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion senior clubs in the province of Leinster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious club competition in Leinster hurling. Introduced in 1971, it was initially a straight knockout tournament open to all 12 county senior champions from the 1970 championship season. The competition is currently limited to the eight champion club teams from the strongest hurling counties in Leinster.
