The 1984 Danish speedway season was the 1984 season of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Individual Danish Final (world championship round) Six riders from the Danish final would progress to the Nordic Final as part of the 1984 Individual Speedway World Championship. The final was held on 6 May at Randers, and was won by Bo Petersen. Final Individual Championship The 1984 Danish Individual Speedway Championship was the 1984 edition of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship. The final was held at Brovst in August. The title was won by Erik Gundersen for the second consecutive year. The Danish Speedway League ( da, Dansk Speedway Liga) or Danish Super League or Metal League as it is called today is the top division of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Jan Jakobsen
Jan Jakobsen (12 May 1965 – 23 August 2020) was a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career Jakobsen came to prominence after winning the Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship in 1984. He reached the final of the Under-21 World Championship in 1986. Also in 1986, he won the Danish Speedway League with Fjelsted Speedway Klub. He started racing in the British leagues during the 1987 British League season, when riding for the Cradley Heathens as a replacement for Alan Grahame. He won another Danish Speedway League title with Fjelsted in 1992. He was also a successful team manager but died in 2020. Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship
The Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship is a competition for riders who are under the age of 21, holding a Danish passport and a valid DMU licence. The competition was first staged in 1960 and was won by Jorgen Hoffman. Although there was no competition in 1961, the event returned in 1962 and has been staged every year since. Flemming Rasmussen (born 1 January 1958) is a Danish sound engineer, record producer, and owner and founder of Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen. He is chief sound engineer at Sweet Silence Studios. Biography Throughout his career, Rasmussen has worked with many different music genres, but is best known for his work with heavy metal. Rasmussen began his career as an assistant at the Rosenberg Studios facility run by producer/engineer Freddy Hansson. In 1976, Hansson founded the Sweet Silence Studios and brought Rasmussen with him. In 1980, Rasmussen became co-owner of the studio, and one year later became an engineer, recording the 1981 album '' Difficult to Cure'' by Rainbow. Tommy Knudsen (born 9 November 1961 in Roager, Denmark) is a former Motorcycle speedway rider who won eight Speedway World Team Cups, and two Speedway World Pairs Championship, World Pairs.
