Based on the comic strip Tom Poes, created by Marten Toonder, this was the first animated feature produced in the Netherlands. Plot One stormy night, a servant dog named Yost (Joost) is reading a book saying that storms are caused by dragons. Starting to believe it to be true, he wakes up his employer, a bear named Oliver B. Bear (Oliver B. Bumble). When Ollie tries to convince Yost that dragons do not exist. Yost tries to convince Ollie otherwise by showing him a book he'd been reading during the storm. Ollie takes the book and reads a dragon-calling spell from it and the wind blows the curtains in their faces, and Ollie does not notice a dragon walking by the window. ''Donald Duck Presents'' is an American animated television series that aired on The Disney Channel beginning in 1983 and which featured Disney animated shorts. Although Donald Duck shorts were the primary programming, additional cartoons featuring Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Chip 'n Dale, Pluto, as well as Silly Symphonies, Disney featurettes, and other Disney-based shorts were shown. The show was first aired on September 1, 1983, a few months after The Disney Channel was launched. Its timeslot for its early run was at 8 a.m. Eastern/Pacific Time, making it the third program of The Disney Channel's 16 (later 18) hour programming day. ''Fire and Ice'' is a 1983 American animated epic dark fantasy adventure film directed by Ralph Bakshi. The film, a collaboration between Bakshi and Frank Frazetta, was distributed by 20th Century-Fox, which also distributed Bakshi's 1977 release '' Wizards''. The animated feature, based on characters co-created by Bakshi and Frazetta, was made using the process of rotoscoping, in which scenes were shot in live-action and then traced onto animation cels. The screenplay was written by Gerry Conway and Roy Thomas, both of whom had written '' Conan'' stories for Marvel Comics. Ralph Bakshi
Ralph Bakshi (born October 29, 1938) is an American animator and filmmaker. In the 1970s, he established an alternative to mainstream animation through independent and adult-oriented productions. Between 1972 and 1992, he directed nine theatrically released feature films, five of which he wrote. He has been involved in numerous television projects as director, writer, producer, and animator. Beginning his career at the Terrytoons television cartoon studio as a cel polisher, Bakshi was eventually promoted to animator, and then director. He moved to the animation division of Paramount Pictures in 1967 and started his own studio, Bakshi Productions, in 1968. Through producer Steve Krantz, Bakshi made his debut feature film, ''Fritz the Cat'', released in 1972. John Korty
John Korty (June 22, 1936 – March 9, 2022) was an American film director and animator, best known for the television film ''The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman'' and the documentary ''Who Are the DeBolts? And Where Did They Get Nineteen Kids?'', as well as the theatrical animated feature '' Twice Upon a Time''. He has won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature (for ''Who Are the DeBolts?'') and several other major awards. Keiji Nakazawa
was a Japanese manga artist and writer. Biography Nakazawa was born March 14, 1939 Naka-ku, Hiroshima, Japan and was in the city when it was Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, destroyed by an atomic bomb in August 1945. Most of his family members who had not evacuated died as a result of the explosion after they became trapped under the debris of their house, except for his mother and an infant sister (who died several weeks later whether from malnutrition or radiation from her mother afterward). In 1961, Nakazawa moved to Tokyo to become a full-time cartoonist and produced short pieces for manga Anthology, anthologies such as ''Shōnen Gaho'', ''Shōnen King'', and ''Bokura''.
