Del Harris
Delmer William Harris (born June 18, 1937) is an American basketball coach who is currently the vice president of the Texas Legends, the NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. He served as a head coach for the NBA's Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers, as well as the Legends. He was also an assistant coach for the National Basketball Association's New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Houston Rockets. Early life and college career Harris is a 1955 graduate of Plainfield High School in Plainfield, Indiana. He was inducted into the first class of Plainfield High School's Hall of Fame. Harris graduated from Milligan College in 1959 ''cum laude'' with a bachelor's degree in religious studies. 1982–83 Detroit Pistons Season
The 1982–83 NBA season was the Detroit Pistons' 35th season in the NBA and 26th season in the city of Detroit. The team played at the Pontiac Silverdome in surburban Pontiac, Michigan. Expectations were high with the Pistons entering the season with hopes for continued improvement and a playoff berth, having improved from 16 to 21 to 39 wins in the previous three seasons, but the team regressed, finishing 37–45 (.451), 3rd in the Central Division. The team was led on the season by guard Isiah Thomas (22.9 ppg, 7.8 apg, NBA All-Star), center Bill Laimbeer (13.6 ppg, 12.1 rpg, NBA All-Star) and forward Kelly Tripucka (26.5 ppg). With the disappointing record and frequent clashes with team leader Thomas, the team fired coach Scotty Robertson at the end of the season. 1982–83 Atlanta Hawks Season
The 1982–83 Atlanta Hawks season was the franchise's thirty-fourth season in the National Basketball Association and fifteenth in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to the start of the season, the Hawks made a blockbuster trade. The franchise sent John Drew and Freeman Williams to the Utah Jazz in exchange for first round draft pick Dominique Wilkins, a star at the University of Georgia. Wilkins would make an impact as he averaged 17.5 points per game. The Hawks finished in second place with a 43–39 record. In the playoffs, the Hawks would however be eliminated 2–1 by the Boston Celtics. Seton Hall Pirates Men's Basketball
The Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. The team competes in the Big East Conference and plays their home games in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. History Seton Hall's first season of basketball occurred in 1903–04, but the school did not field a team again until 1908–09, the year in which the university achieved its first winning season. The school adopted the Pirate mascot in 1931, and the teams soon gained national prominence with the arrival of John Russell (basketball), John "Honey" Russell in 1936. During an 18-year span, the Pirates racked up a 295–129 record that included an undefeated 19–0 record in 1939–40 as part of a 41-game unbeaten streak. Dan Callandrillo
Daniel Callandrillo is an Italian-American former professional basketball player. He played NCAA Division I college basketball at Seton Hall. At a height of tall, he played at both the point guard and shooting guard positions, with shooting guard being his main position. High school Raised in North Bergen, New Jersey, Callandrillo played basketball at North Bergen High School. In 1977, as a senior, he averaged 32 points a game, was a high school All-American, and led the school to a high school state championship. College career Callandrillo played college basketball at Seton Hall University, with the Seton Hall Pirates, from 1978 to 1982. While at Seton Hall, he was named Second Team All-Big East, in both his sophomore and junior seasons.
