1982 Baltimore Colts Season
The 1982 Baltimore Colts season was the 30th season for the team in the National Football League (NFL), and the Colts’ penultimate season in Baltimore. It was their first under former Arizona State coach Frank Kush, who was hired to replace Mike McCormack after he recorded a 2-14 record in 1981. The Colts finished the NFL's strike-shortened 1982 season without a victory, finishing with eight losses and one tie in their nine games. American Football Conference
The American Football Conference (AFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL), the highest professional level of American football in the United States. The AFC and its counterpart, the National Football Conference (NFC), each contain 16 teams with 4 divisions. Both conferences were created as part of the 1970 merger between the National Football League, and the American Football League (AFL). A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Leo Wisniewski
Leo Joseph Wisniewski (born November 6, 1959) is a former American football player whose position was nose tackle. Wisniewski played professionally in the National Football League from 1982 to 1984 for the Indianapolis Colts over the course of 36 games. Early years After going to high school at Fox Chapel Area High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Wisniewski attended Pennsylvania State University where he played nose tackle. Over his four years at Penn State he recorded 102 tackles and 11 QB sacks. Leo has been a high school assistant coach in the Pittsburgh PA area for several years, coaching son Stefan at Pittsburgh Central Catholic before his departure for Penn State. Johnie Earl Cooks (born November 23, 1958) is a former professional American football player who was drafted by the Baltimore Colts as the second overall pick in the 1982 NFL Draft. 2022 Indianapolis Colts Season
The 2022 season was the Indianapolis Colts' 70th in the National Football League (NFL), their 39th in Indianapolis, their sixth under the leadership of general manager Chris Ballard and their fifth and final under head coach Frank Reich. In the off-season, the Colts acquired pro-bowler Matt Ryan for a 3rd round pick. After a 3–5–1 start, head coach Frank Reich was fired from the team with Jeff Saturday being named the interim head coach.
