''The King and the Mockingbird'' (french: Le Roi et l'Oiseau, ) is a 1980 traditionally-animated fantasy film directed by Paul Grimault. Prior to 2013, it was released in English as '' The King and Mister Bird''. Begun in 1948 as ''La Bergère et le Ramoneur'' ( " The shepherdess and the chimney sweep", loosely based on the fairy-tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen), the film was a collaboration between Grimault and popular French poet and screenwriter Jacques Prévert. However, the film suddenly stopped production and was released unfinished by its producer in 1952, without the approval of either Grimault or Prévert. Through the course of the 1960s and 1970s, Grimault obtained the rights to the film and was able to complete a new version as they originally intended. The film was completed over 30 years after production commenced. ''The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show'' (also known as ''The New Adventures of Tom and Jerry'') is an American animated television program produced by Filmation for MGM Television featuring the popular cartoon duo Tom and Jerry. The show first aired on September 6, 1980 on CBS and continued until December 13, 1980. Its episodes were eventually added to syndicated ''Tom and Jerry'' packages in 1983. is a 1980 Japanese science fiction anime film and the fourth film (third theatrical) based on the classic anime series ''Space Battleship Yamato'' (known as ''Star Blazers'' in the United States). The film is unique for switching from monaural VistaVision (1.85:1) to Quadraphonic CinemaScope (2.35:1) when the Yamato enters the Double Galaxy. Plot The Black Nebula Empire, last seen in '' Yamato: The New Voyage'', lands a huge fortress on Earth and sends out an invasion force, while the Black Nebulan fleet wipes out Earth's space fleets. The fortress contains a bomb capable of destroying half the planet. The Nebulans threaten to use it if they are attacked. ''Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don't Come Back!!)'' is a 1980 American animated adventure comedy film produced by United Feature Syndicate and distributed by Paramount Pictures, directed by Bill Melendez and Phil Roman. It was the fourth full-length feature film to be based on the ''Peanuts'' comic strip. ''Peanuts'' creator Charles M. Schulz wrote that he came up with the idea for the story while visiting the ''Manoir de Malvoisine'' in Le Héron, where he was stationed briefly as a soldier during World War II. The castle plays a large role in the film. Julien Temple
Julien Temple (born 26 November 1953) is a British film, documentary and music video director. He began his career with short films featuring the Sex Pistols, and has continued with various off-beat projects, including ''The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle'', '' Absolute Beginners'' and a documentary film about ''Glastonbury''. Early life Temple was born in Kensington, London, the son of Landon Temple, who organised the travel company Progressive Tours. He was educated at St Marylebone Grammar School (from which he was expelled), William Ellis School, and King's College, Cambridge. He grew up with little interest in film until, when a student at Cambridge, he discovered the works of French anarchist director Jean Vigo. This, along with his interest in the early punk scene in London in 1976, led to his friendship with The Sex Pistols, leading him to document many of their early gigs.
