The 1980 Kangaroo Tour of New Zealand was a mid-season tour of New Zealand by the Australia national rugby league team. The Australians played seven matches on tour, including a two test series against the New Zealand national rugby league team. The tour began on 1 June and finished on 17 June. The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. Alan Thompson (born 10 October 1953 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach. Rod Reddy
Rod Reddy (born 1 March 1954) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach. He played in the NSWRL Premiership for the St. George Dragons between 1972 and 1983 and the Illawarra Steelers between 1984 and 1985. He also represented Queensland in the State of Origin and the Australia national rugby league team. He coached the Adelaide Rams for their only two seasons. The Newtown Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Newtown, a suburb of Sydney's inner west. Thomas Walter Raudonikis (13 April 1950 – 7 April 2021) was an Australian rugby league footballer and coach. He played 40 International games and World Cup games as Australia representative and captained his country in two matches of the 1973 Kangaroo tour. St George Dragons
The St. George Dragons is an Australian rugby league football club from St George District in Sydney, New South Wales that played in the top level New South Wales competition and Australian Rugby League competitions from the 1921 until the 1997 ARL season, as well as the unified 1998 National Rugby League season. Graham Quinn (born 13 December 1957) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s primarily in Sydney's NSWRFL competition. He won premierships with the St George Dragons and represented at both state and national levels. Club career Quinn attended Iona College, Brisbane, he was Queenslander junior and played his first senior rugby league with Brisbane Brothers. Raymond Alan Price (born 4 March 1953) is an Australian former dual-code international rugby union and rugby league footballer. He was nicknamed “Mr Perpetual Motion” for his hard, intimidating style of play in league at lock forward.
