1972–73 Bulgarian Hockey League Season
The 1972–73 Bulgarian Hockey League season was the 21st season of the Bulgarian Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Bulgaria. Seven teams participated in the league, and HK CSKA Sofia won the championship, making it their 16th win at the time. HK CSKA Sofia also won the championship 2 seasons prior and would go on to win the next 2 seasons as well. HK CSKA Sofia
HC CSKA Sofia is an ice hockey team from Sofia, Bulgaria that currently plays in the Bulgarian Hockey League. They are a department of the United Sports Clubs of CSKA Sofia. History Ice hockey develops in Bulgaria in the start of the 20th century, but the organized hockey becomes famous in the end of the 40s. In 1994 a tournament in honor of the 5th congress of "Bulgarian Communist Party" is held and a few teams participate in it. On 16 September in the same year, the "Republican section for skates and ice hockey" is created. At the start, the competitions are in the form of city championships, without age requirements. One of the first teams is CSKA's one. During 1952 the first republican championship is held, where CSKA doesn't reach top 3. In the next competition, CSKA becomes third and wins its first medals. Akademika Sofia was an ice hockey team in Sofia, Bulgaria. They folded in 2008. History The club was founded in 1949 as part of the Akademik Sofia sports club and existed until 1993 when they merged with CSKA Sofia. In 1995 the club was founded again and merged with Metallurg Pernik to form ''Akademik-Metallurg Sofia'' in 1998. They became independent again as Akademik Sofia in 1999. In 2001, they took on the name of Akademika Sofia. Akademika was Bulgarian champions in 2006 and 2007, and won the Bulgarian Cup in 1955, 1998, 2006, and 2007. HK Levski Sofia
HC Levski Sofia is an ice hockey team in Sofia, Bulgaria. They are part of the Levski Sofia sports club, and have played in the Bulgarian Hockey League since 1953. History The club was founded as HK Dinamo Sofia in 1953. After six years they became HK Levski Sofia, before merging with Spartak Sofia in 1969 to form Levski-Spartak Sofia. They won seven titles as Levski-Spartak from 1976-1982. In 1990, they took on their present name, HK Levski Sofia, and won four titles in the 1990s. HC Slavia Sofia ( bg, Славия София), ''Slaviya Sofiya'') is an ice hockey team from the Bulgarian Hockey League based in Sofia, Bulgaria. The team has won 19 league titles, and are a member of the Slavia Sofia sports club. History The team was founded in 1919 under the name of NFD Slavia Sofia. They competed as DSO Stroitel Sofia from 1948–1951, and six years as Udarnik Sofia, before changing their name to Slavia Sofia in 1957. The team has won nineteen Bulgarian championships, making them the most successful team in the country. They have also finished as runners-up eleven times, and won the Bulgarian Cup twelve times. The Lokomotive (German for "locomotive") is a striking climbing rock north of Kurort Rathen in Saxon Switzerland in Germany. The rock, which resembles a steam locomotive in appearance, is also known as ''Große Ruine'', is about 30 metres high and is divided into two parts: known as ''Lokomotive-Dom'' ("Locomotive Dome") and ''Lokomotive-Esse'' ("Locomotive Chimney"). The ridge between the two is called the ''Kesselgrat'' ("Boiler Ridge"), the rock teeth next to the Esse as ''Pfeife'' ("Whistle").
