The president of Mexico ( es, link=no, Presidente de México), officially the president of the United Mexican States ( es, link=no, Presidente de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos), is the head of state and head of government of Mexico. Under the Constitution of Mexico, the president heads the executive branch of the federal government and is the commander-in-chief of the Mexican Armed Forces. The current president is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who took office on 1 December 2018. Luis Enrique Bracamontes Gálvez (June 22, 1923 - January 15, 2003) was a Mexican politician and engineer. He was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party and Secretary of Public Works under President Luis Echeverria Álvarez. Luis Enrique Bracamontes was born in Tapalpa, Jalisco on June 22, 1923. Civil Engineer graduated from the National School of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering today the National Autonomous University of Mexico and Master in Physics, from the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM. Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of the Americas in 1973 and Doctor Honoris Causa by the Autonomous University of Chihuahua in 1997.
