Nemzeti Bajnokság I
The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, "National Championship"), also known as NB I, is the top level of the Hungarian football league system. The league is officially named OTP Bank Liga after its title sponsor OTP Bank. UEFA currently ranks the league 28th in Europe. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. At the end of the season, the top team enters the qualification for the UEFA Champions League, while the runner-up and the third place, together with the winner of the Magyar Kupa enter the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification rounds. The bottom two clubs are relegated to Nemzeti Bajnokság II, the second-level league, to be replaced by the winner and the runner up of the NB2. ETO FC Győr (''Egyetértés Torna Osztály Futball Club Győr''; ''Concordance Gymnastics Department Football Club of Győr'') or just ETO, is a football club from the city of Győr in Hungary. They are best known for reaching the semi-finals of the European Cup 1964-65. The club has won the Hungarian League four times. In 1904 the club was founded as ''Győri Vagongyár ETO'' and has undergone many name changes since. The colours of the club are green and white. László Kalmár (footballer)
László Kalmár (27 March 1905, in Edde – 2 August 1976, in Mátraháza) was a Hungarian mathematician and Professor at the University of Szeged. Kalmár is considered the founder of mathematical logic and theoretical computer science in Hungary. Biography Kalmár was of Jewish ancestry. His early life mixed promise and tragedy. His father died when he was young, and his mother died when he was 17, the year he entered the University of Budapest, making him essentially an orphan. Kalmár's brilliance manifested itself while in Budapest schools. At the University of Budapest, his teachers included Kürschák and Fejér. His fellow students included the future logician Rózsa Péter. Kalmár graduated in 1927. He discovered mathematical logic, his chosen field, while visiting Göttingen in 1929. Lajos Kocsis (18 June 1947 in Szeged – 9 October 2000 in Budapest) was a Hungarian football midfielder, who played for Bp. Honvéd SE. He was an Olympic champion in 1968. Club career Kocsis started his career in his native town of Szeged, with third-division Szegedi VSE. Lajos became a first-division player in 1966, having been transferred to then first division Salgótarjáni BTC. A year later, he moved to Budapest to play for Honvéd, where he spent ten years and became one of Hungary's best-known and most popular football players. Kocsis was considered as Hungary's most talented footballer since Ferenc Puskás, some stating he was even more talented than his famous predecessor. János Farkas (27 March 1942 in Budapest – 29 September 1989 in Budapest) was a Hungarian footballer. During his club career he played for Vasas SC. He earned 33 caps and scored 20 goals for the Hungary national football team from 1961 to 1969, and participated in the 1962 FIFA World Cup, the 1964 European Nations' Cup, and the 1966 FIFA World Cup. Flórián Albert
Flórián Albert (15 September 1941 – 31 October 2011) was a Hungarian professional football player, manager and sports official, who was named European Footballer of the Year in 1967. Nicknamed "The Emperor", he played as a forward, and has been described as one of the most elegant footballers of all time. A club legend of Ferencvárosi TC, Albert joined the team as a schoolboy and spent his whole playing career at ''Fradi''. He also starred for Hungary, winning 75 international caps and scoring 31 goals. He was joint top-scorer at the 1962 World Cup with four goals and played a key role in Hungary's third-place finish at the European Championship in 1964. Ferenc Bene (17 December 1944 – 27 February 2006) was a Hungarian Association football, football player of Újpest FC, Újpesti Dózsa, who was a member of the team that won the gold medal at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
