1966–67 Taça De Portugal
The 1966–67 Taça de Portugal was the 27th edition of the Portuguese football knockout tournament, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The 1966–67 Taça de Portugal began on 30 October 1966. The final was played on 9 July 1967 at the Estádio Nacional. Braga were the previous holders, having defeated Vitória de Setúbal 1–0 in the previous season's final. Defending champions Braga were unable to regain the Taça de Portugal as they were defeated by Académica de Coimbra in the semi-finals. Vitória de Setúbal claimed their second cup trophy by defeating Académica de Coimbra 3–2. First round All first round first leg ties were played on the 30 October, whilst the second legs were played between the 3–6 November. Cup ties which ended in a tied aggregate score were replayed at a later date. Jacinto João
Jacinto João, also known as J. J. (January 25, 1944, Luanda – October 29, 2004, Setúbal) was one of the greatest Portuguese football players of his time. He played as a left winger. Portugal had so many great attacking players at that time that Jacinto João won just 10 caps for the Portuguese national team, scoring two goals. His debut was on 27 October 1968, in a 3–0 win over Romania in a World Cup qualifying match, when he came on as substitute for António Simões, and scored a goal. He was not included in the team that played at the Independence Brazil Cup, in 1972. His last game for Portuguese national team, was on 3 April 1974, in a 0–0 draw with England in Lisbon, in a friendly match. He played for 14 seasons for Vitória de Setúbal, scoring 66 goals in 268 games, helping them to 2nd place in the Portuguese league in 1971/72. Atlético Sport Aviação, best known as ASA, is a football club from Luanda, Angola. The club was founded in 1953 by a group of workers from TAAG's predecessor DTA. Mr. Jacinto Medina was the first chairman. Before Angola's independence, the club was known as Atlético Sport Aviação .
