1966 And All That (radio)
''1966 and All That'' is a radio adaptation of the book of the same name in four episodes, broadcast between 8 September and 29 September 2006. Written by Craig Brown, the series was narrated by Eleanor Bron, Joss Ackland, Ewan Bailey and Margaret Cabourn-Smith. In 2007, it won a Gold Sony Radio Academy Award. Whitworth Art Gallery
The Whitworth is an art gallery in Manchester, England, containing about 55,000 items in its collection. The gallery is located in Whitworth Park and is part of the University of Manchester. In 2015, the Whitworth reopened after it was transformed by a £15 million capital redevelopment that doubled its exhibition spaces, restored period features and opened itself up to its surrounding park. The gallery received more than 440,000 visitors in its first year and was awarded the Art Fund's Museum of the Year prize in 2015. In June 2017, Maria Balshaw stepped down as the director to take up her new role as the director of the Tate. Nick Merriman was acting interim director of the Whitworth. On 11 October 2018 it was announced that Alistair Hudson would be the new director of the Manchester Art Gallery and the Whitworth. Geoff Hurst
Sir Geoffrey Charles Hurst (born 8 December 1941) is an English former professional footballer. A striker, he became the first man to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final when England recorded a 4–2 victory over West Germany at Wembley Stadium in 1966. Hurst began his career with West Ham United, where he scored 242 goals in 500 first team appearances. There he won the FA Cup in 1964 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1965. He was sold to Stoke City in 1972 for £80,000. After three seasons with Stoke, where he won the Watney Cup in 1973, he finished his Football League career with West Bromwich Albion in 1976. Hurst went to play football in Ireland (Cork Celtic) and the USA (Seattle Sounders) before returning to England to manage non-league Telford United. He also coached in the England set-up before a two-year stint as Chelsea manager from 1979 to 1981. He later coached Kuwait SC before leaving the game to concentrate on his business commitments. ''The Trumpton Riots E.P.'' is a 1986 12" 45½rpm vinyl EP by the English indie band Half Man Half Biscuit. The original release (TRUMP1) comprised the first four tracks listed below.
