1964 European Cup Winners' Cup Final
The 1964 European Cup Winners' Cup Final was a football match contested between Sporting CP of Portugal and MTK Budapest of Hungary. The fourth European Cup Winners' Cup final, the match was played at Heysel Stadium, Brussels, ending in a 3–3 tie and the therefore necessary replay two days later in Bosuil Stadium, Antwerp. Sporting won the replay 1–0, with a famous direct corner kick goal by João Morais. The 1963–64 season of the European Cup Winners' Cup club football tournament was won by Sporting CP in a replayed final victory against MTK Budapest. Atalanta B
Atalanta (; grc-gre, Ἀταλάντη, Atalantē) meaning "equal in weight", is a heroine in Greek mythology. There are two versions of the huntress Atalanta: one from Arcadia, whose parents were Iasus and Clymene and who is primarily known from the tales of the Calydonian boar hunt and the Argonauts; and the other from Boeotia, who is the daughter of King Schoeneus and is primarily noted for her skill in the footrace. Ernesto Figueiredo
Ernesto de Figueiredo Cordeiro (born 6 July 1937) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a striker. Club career Born in Tomar, Santarém District, Figueiredo arrived at Sporting CP in the summer of 1960 from amateurs União Desportiva e Recreativa de Cernache, aged already 23. He scored 17 goals in only 24 games in his first season with his new team, good enough for Primeira Liga runner-up accolades. At the end of the 1965–66 campaign, Figueiredo finished joint-top scorer alongside S.L. Benfica's Eusébio – both at 25 goals – but his team won the league by one point. Mascarenhas (footballer)
Domingos António da Silva (28 April 1937 – 25 August 2015), known as Mascarenhas, was an Angolan footballer who played as a forward. Club career Mascarenhas was born in Vila Salazar, Portuguese Angola. After one season with S.L. Benfica and three with F.C. Barreirense, he joined Sporting CP in 1962; during his three-year spell with the Lisbon club, he scored 80 goals in 107 matches all appearances comprised, even friendlies. In the 1963 Portuguese Cup final, Mascarenhas scored once in a 4–0 victory over Vitória de Guimarães. The following campaign, in Sporting's victorious campaign in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, he netted six times in a 16–1 home rout of APOEL FC (European competition record), adding another in the final against MTK Budapest FC, the 3–3 leading to a replay in Antwerp which ended with a 1–0 win for the ''Lions''.
