1962 Copa Preparación
The Copa Preparación 1962 was the 5th edition of the Chilean Cup tournament. The competition started on April 15, 1962, and concluded on May 20, 1962. Luis Cruz Martínez won the competition for the first time, beating Universidad Católica 2–1 in the final. Matches were scheduled to be played at the stadium of the team named first on the date specified for each round. If scores were level after 90 minutes had been played, an extra time took place. If scores were still level after the 30 minutes extra time, a penalty shootout took place, where every team designated one kicker, who takes 3 penalty kicks. If at the end of these three rounds of kicks the teams have scored an equal number of goals, a coin toss took place. Copa Chile
The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Since the season 2009, the winners obtained a direct Copa Sudamericana spot for the next season, however this was change starting from the 2015 edition; since then the winners obtains a direct Copa Libertadores spot for the next season. In the history of the tournament, the Primera División teams have dominated the competition; but, because this is contested in a knockout tournament format, the opportunity for lower-level teams upsetting a top level squad is a real possibility. Trasandino de Los Andes are a Chilean Football club, their home town is Los Andes in the V Región of Valparaíso in Chile. They currently play in the Segunda División. Curicó
Curicó (), meaning "Black Waters" in Mapudungun (originally meaning "Land of Black Water"), is the capital city of the Curicó Province, part of the Maule Region in Chile's central valley. The province lies between the provinces of Colchagua and Talca and extends from the Pacific to the Argentine frontier. Estadio La Granja
The Estadio La Granja is a sports venue which is located in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. The stadium holds 8,278 people and is part of a large sporting complex which also features tennis courts, swimming pools, a gymnasium, a velodrome and some other sport fields. It is the home stadium of Curicó Unido; and the former home ground of ''Alianza de Curicó'', Luis Cruz, and Badminton de Curicó. The stadium, currently owned by the Municipality of Curicó, originally has a capacity of 4,000. The first change; in 1985; was an increase of about 1,200, and another change was an increase to a capacity of 6,000, effected in 2004. Extra Time
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. Colchagua Club de Deportes or just Colchagua is a chilean Football club, their home town is San Fernando in Chile. They currently play in the Tercera Division A (Third Division A) of Chilean football, which is actually the fourth division on chilean football due to ANFP ruling. Its traditional rivals are Rancagua Sur and O'Higgins both from the city of Rancagua in the O'Higgins Region which is where San Fernando is also located, it also has rivalry with General Velásquez from the nearby town of San Vicente and with Deportes Santa Cruz. Everton De Viña Del Mar
Everton de Viña del Mar is a Chilean football club based in the city of Viña del Mar. The club was founded 24 June 1909 after a group of Anglo-Chilean teenagers formed a football club and named it after the English team Everton who had recently completed a pioneering tour of South America.
