Vito Taccone
Vito Taccone (6 May 1940 – 15 October 2007) was an Italian road cyclist. Taccone made his professional debut in 1961. In the same year he won the Giro di Lombardia. During the 1964 Tour de France, he was accused of causing other cyclists to fall , leading to a fight with Spanish racer Fernando Manzaneque and his non-appearance in following tours. His other victories include one Giro del Piemonte (1962), one Giro della Toscana (1963), one Milano–Torino Milano–Torino is a semi classic European single day cycling race, between the northern Italian cities of Milan and Turin over a distance of 199 kilometres. Graziano Battistini
Graziano Battistini (12 May 1936 – 22 January 1994) was an Italian professional road bicycle racer. In 1960, Battistini won two stages in the Tour de France, and finished in second place in the general classification. Battistini was the first rider to win the Cima Coppi, a prize honoring the late Fausto Coppi, by being the first rider to the summit of the Passo dello Stelvio in the 1965 Giro d'Italia. The highlight of his career was his overall win in the 1961 Giro d'Italia. Aldo Moser
Aldo Moser (7 February 1934 – 2 December 2020) was an Italian cyclist. Biography Moser rode in 16 editions of the Giro d'Italia and 4 of the Vuelta a España, totalling 20 Grand Tours. He came from a famous family of cyclists, including his younger brothers Francesco Moser, Enzo Moser and Diego Moser, and nephews Leonardo Moser, Ignazio Moser, and Moreno Moser. Death Moser was hospitalized with COVID-19 at a hospital in Trento on 1 December 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy. He died from the virus the next day on 2 December 2020, aged 86. Angelo Conterno
Angelo Conterno (13 March 1925 – 1 December 2007) was an Italian professional road racing cyclist during the 1950s and early 1960s who is most famous for becoming the first Italian to win the Vuelta a España. At the 1956 Vuelta after winning Stage 2 and capturing the golden jersey, Conterno, in one of the closest Vuelta's in history, outlasted Spaniard Jesus Loroño to win the overall title by just 13 seconds. The following year, Loroño won the 1957 Vuelta a España without Conterno in attendance. Earlier in his career, Conterno wore the pink jersey as leader of the general classification for a day when he won the second stage of the 1952 Giro d'Italia. Beyond his three-stage victories in the Giro d'Italia, he won the 1959 Züri-Metzgete. Imerio Massignan
Imerio Massignan (born 2 January 1937) is an Italian former professional road cyclist. A pure climber, he debuted as professional in the 1959 Giro d'Italia, classifying 5th overall. This was followed by a series of good placements in the subsequent editions, including a 2nd overall in the 1962 Giro behind Franco Balmamion. At the Tour de France he won the Mountains classification in 1960 and 1961, when he also finished 4th overall. In the latter season he also obtained a second place in the Giro di Lombardia. Massignan retired in 1969.
