German submarine ''U-195'' was a Type IXD1 transport U-boat which served in World War II. The submarine was laid down on 15 May 1941 at the DeSchiMAG AG Weser yard in Bremen as yard number 1041, launched on 8 April 1942, and commissioned on 5 September 1942 under the command of ''Korvettenkapitän'' Heinz Buchholz. ''U-195'' was one of two IX-D1 transport U-boats that had their forward torpedo tubes removed and the compartment converted into a cargo hold. The other IX-D1 was , which was lost in the Bay of Biscay in 1944 whilst setting out for a voyage to Japan. (''U-180'' had been trialled originally with six diesel engines driving two propeller shafts, but overheating proved such a problem that these engines were removed and replaced with a pair of 2,200 hp MAN diesel engines). The Jordan 195 was the Formula One car with which the Jordan team competed in the 1995 Formula One World Championship. The number 14 car was driven by Brazilian Rubens Barrichello and the number 15 car by Northern Irishman Eddie Irvine. The car was powered by the 3-litre Peugeot A10 V10 engine and ran on Total fuel. Total also served as the team's main sponsor for the season. The 195 featured a distinctive low nose and highly sculpted sidepods, lending it a very smooth appearance despite the mixed-up colour scheme. It achieved Jordan's then best-ever result at the Canadian Grand Prix, when Barrichello and Irvine finished second and third respectively behind Jean Alesi's Ferrari. However, the car was not consistently competitive and suffered numerous reliability problems, and the team ended up in sixth place in the Constructors' Championship. The Blériot 195 was a French monoplane mail-carrier designed and built by Blériot Aéronautique, the one aircraft built was modified a number of times but failed to enter production. Design and development The Blériot 195 was a large low-wing cantilever monoplane designed for use on mail flights across the North Atlantic. It was powered by four Hispano-Suiza 6Mb inline piston engines, which were mounted in tandem pairs above the wing on a complex of struts. Designated the 195/2 landplane, it first flew on 9 March 1929. By the end of 1929, it had been re-designated the 195/3 and test flown with twin floats. It was re-designated again as the 195/4 in early 1930, when it was fitted with Gnome-Rhone Titan engines. Squadron insignia and nickname The squadron, originally known as the ''Tigers'', had its first insignia approved by Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) on 4 March 1944, consisting of a lion cub riding a torpedo. 195th Ohio Infantry Regiment
The 195th Ohio Infantry Regiment, sometimes 195th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (or 195th OVI) was an infantry regiment in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Service The 195th Ohio Infantry was organized at Camp Chase in Columbus, Ohio, and mustered in March 14 through March 20, 1865, for one year service under the command of Colonel Henry Blackstone Banning. The regiment left Ohio for Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, March 22–25; then to Winchester, Virginia, and was assigned to Brooks' Provisional Division, Army of the Shenandoah. Ordered to Alexandria, Virginia, April 28 and served provost duty there until December. The 195th Ohio Infantry mustered out of service December 18, 1865, at Alexandria, Virginia.
