1955 Commonwealth Prime Ministers' Conference
The 1955 Commonwealth Prime Ministers' Conference was the seventh Commonwealth Prime Ministers' Conference, Meeting of the List of Commonwealth Heads of Government, Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Nations. It was held in the United Kingdom in January 1955 and was hosted by that country's Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill. Sir Sidney George Holland (18 October 1893 – 5 August 1961) was a New Zealand politician who served as the 25th prime minister of New Zealand from 13 December 1949 to 20 September 1957. General Sir John Lionel Kotelawala ( si, ශ්රිමත් ජෝන් ලයනල් කොතලාවල; 4 April 1897 – 2 October 1980) was a Sri Lankan statesman, who served as the 3rd Prime Minister of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) from 1953 to 1956.
