Eva Eriksson (illustrator)
Eva Eriksson, born on 13 May 1949 in Halmstad, Sweden is a Swedish illustrator and writer. She has illustrated several children's books by writers including Barbro Lindgren and Viveca Lärn. Some of her illustrated books have also been translated into the English language by Gecko Press and other publishers. She educated herself at Konstfack in Stockholm. Between 2003-2012 she held seat number 1 of the Swedish Academy for Children's Books. David Emanuel Wahlberg
David Emanuel Wahlberg (September 9, 1882 – March 7, 1949) was a Swedish sports writer and editor who covered the 1912 Summer Olympics. He became president of the sports organization LAIF from 1937 to 1939. Later in life he was the Lutheran minister in Långsele, Sweden. Biography He was born on September 9, 1882, in Ytterlännäs, Sweden to Johanna Winblad (1859–1916) and Per Olof Bernhard Wahlberg (1852–1927). He attended college in Sweden and graduated in 1901 then studied at the University of Chicago and received his Master of Arts in Romance 1904. He then attended Augustana College in 1905. He returned to Sweden and worked as a language teacher and journalist until 1916. He was ordained and then worked as a minister in Sundsvall. In 1923 or 1924 he became the pastor in Buenos Aires, Argentina. On September 15, 1927, his wife Jenny Katarina Wågberg died and on February 28, 1929, he left Argentina with his four children and returned to Sweden where he married his ho ... Karolina Widerström
Karolina Olivia Widerström (10 December 1856 – 4 March 1949), was a Swedish doctor and gynecologist. She was the first female physician with a university education in her country. She was also a feminist and a politician, and engaged in the questions of sexual education and female suffrage. She was chairwoman of the National Association for Women's Suffrage and a member of the Stockholm city council. Biography Karolina Widerström was the daughter of the gymnastics teacher and veterinarian Otto Fredrik Widerström and Olivia Erika Dillén. The family moved to Stockholm in 1873. As an adult she lived together with educator and headmistress Maria Aspman (1865-1944). Education Women were officially admitted to the universities in Sweden in 1870. Her father wished for her to be a gymnastics teacher like himself. Gustaf Nordqvist (12 February 1886 in Stockholm, Sweden – 28 January 1949 in Stockholm, Sweden) was a Swedish composer, church musician and professor. He was organist in Adolf Fredrik church from 1914 and a teacher of harmony at the Royal Conservatory of Music from 1924. As a composer he is best known for his many solo songs, including ‘Till havs’ and Christmas song ''Jul, jul, strålande jul "''Jul, jul, strålande jul''" is a Christmas song with lyrics written by Edvard Evers and music composed by Gustaf Nordqvist.
