Menachem Begin

Aluf (ret.) Herzl Bodinger ( he, הרצל בודינגר; born 1943) is a retired general in the Israel Defense Forces and a former Commander in Chief of the Israeli Air Force. Today, Bodinger is member of the International Board of Governors of Ariel University. Military career Bodinger was born in Israel and joined the IDF in 1961. Nechemiah Cohen ( he, נחמיה כהן; April 30, 1943 – June 5, 1967) is the most decorated soldier in the history of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Uri Gil (born April 9, 1943) is a retired brigadier general in the Israeli Air Force. In 2007, he was listed as the most senior combat pilot in history in the Guinness World Records. Biography Gil was born in Kibbutz Givat Haim, Mandatory Palestine, the third of four sons. When he was a boy, Gil thought about becoming a composer because he liked to go to clubs to listen to records. He has said that he never wanted to be a pilot, but rather in an "elite paratrooper unit". Yad Mordechai ( he, יַד מָרְדְּכַי, ''lit.'' Memorial of Mordechai) is a kibbutz in Southern Israel. Located 10 km (6.2 mi) south of Ashkelon, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hof Ashkelon Regional Council. In it had a population of . Latrun ( he, לטרון, ''Latrun''; ar, اللطرون, ''al-Latrun'') is a strategic hilltop in the Latrun salient in the Ayalon Valley, and a depopulated Palestinian village.
