The 1935–36 Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represented Indiana University (Bloomington), Indiana University. Their head coach was Everett Dean, who was in his 12th year. Everett Dean
Everett Sterling Dean (March 18, 1898 – October 26, 1993) was an American college basketball and baseball coach. Biography Born in Livonia, Indiana, Dean played basketball for three years at Indiana University, where he was also a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, and was named the 1921 Helms Athletic Foundation All-America team. He began his coaching career at Carleton College. Dean was the head baseball and basketball coach at his alma mater, Indiana Hoosiers, Indiana University, from 1924 to 1938. In 1938, Dean was named head basketball coach at Stanford Cardinal, Stanford University, where he coached the team to the 1942 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 1942 NCAA championship. Dean was named baseball coach at Stanford in 1950, and led Stanford's baseball team to the 1953 College World Series. Old Gym (Vanderbilt University)
Old Gym is one of the surviving Victorian buildings that characterized the early style of the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville, Tennessee. The Old Gym was originally a gymnasium, later served as the Fine Arts Building, and currently houses the university's admissions office. History The gymnasium was completed in 1880 and featured an indoor running track and considerable gymnastic equipment. At the time, it was one of the best equipped gymnasiums in the southern United States. The exterior of the building remains fairly untouched while the interior space has been modified through the years and uses of the building. The Old Gym is on the National Register of Historic Places. The building consisted of a foundation of Tennessee limestone with a structure of wooden trusses and walls of natural finished red brick. Vanderbilt Commodores Men's Basketball
The Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team represents Vanderbilt University in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Commodores have won three SEC regular-season titles (1965, 1974 and 1993) and two SEC Tournament championships (1951 and 2012). They have competed in 15 NCAA Tournaments, making it to the Elite Eight once (1965) and the Sweet Sixteen six times (1965, 1974, 1988, 1993, 2004, and 2007). Vanderbilt has played in 14 National Invitation Tournaments, winning it in 1990 and finishing runners-up in 1994. The Miami RedHawks men's basketball team — known as the Miami Redskins until 1997 — is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Miami University. The school competes in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The RedHawks play home basketball games at Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio on the university campus. Alumni Gym was a 2,000 capacity structure on the campus of Loyola University Chicago. It served as the home of the Loyola Ramblers Men's and Women's Volleyball programs, as well as the Loyola University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. It is the former home of the Loyola Ramblers basketball team, which last played in Alumni Gym in 1996. The basketball team moved to the 5,200-seat Joseph J. Gentile Center at the beginning of the 1996–97 season. From 1924 to 1941, Loyola hosted the National Catholic Interscholastic Basketball Tournament in Alumni Gym. The Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represents Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The Ramblers participate as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Ramblers joined the Missouri Valley Conference in 2013, and stayed until 2022. Prior to 2013, the team had spent 34 seasons as a charter member of the Horizon League. The Ball State Cardinals men's basketball team represents Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The Cardinals first basketball season was 1920–21. The school's team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2000.
