1934–35 Svenska Mästerskapet (men's Handball)
The 1934–35 Svenska mästerskapet was the fourth staging of the Svenska mästerskapet, a tournament held to determine the Swedish Champions of men's handball. Teams qualified by winning their respective District Championships. 17 teams competed in the tournament. Redbergslids IK were the defending champions, but failed to qualify by losing to Göteborgs IK in the District Championship of Gothenburg. Majornas IK won the title, defeating Stockholms-Flottans IF in the final. The final was played on 30 March in Skeppsholmshallen in Stockholm, and was watched by 1,182 spectators. List Of Swedish Men's Handball Champions
The Swedish men's handball champions (Swedish: ''Svenska mästare i handboll för herrar'') have been determined by three different competitions. From 1931–32 until 1951–52, the title was decided by a straight knockout tournament known as ''Svenska mästerskapet'' ("the Swedish Championship"). After 1934–35, it was played parallel to the highest league, Allsvenskan. The tournament was contested by the winners of the ''Distriktsmästerskap'' ("Provincial Championships") until 1945–46. After that it was contested by all teams from the top division, all Provincial Champions and invited teams from lower leagues. From 1952–53 until 1966–67, the title of Swedish Champions was awarded to the winners of Allsvenskan. Since 1967–68, the Swedish Champions have been determined by a playoffs competition between the highest-placed teams in the top league. Umeå IK
Umeå IK () is a professional association football club based in the city of Umeå, in northern Sweden, and currently playing Damallsvenskan, the first tier of women's football in Sweden. IFK Kristianstad
Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Kristianstad (), or IFK Kristianstad, is a Swedish handball club based in Kristianstad. They play in Handbollsligan, the top level of Swedish men's handball. The club was founded in 1899 as a multi-sport club. The handball team made its debut in 1925 and has been the only section of the club since 2000. The club plays its home matches at Kristianstad Arena. Kristianstad have won eight Swedish Championship (SM) gold medals. They won their first gold in 1941. Flottans IF Karlskrona
Karlskrona Handboll was a Swedish handball club based in Karlskrona, founded in 1920. They were the first Swedish champions in 1932. They were founding members of Allsvenskan in 1934–35. They reached the Swedish championship final again in 1936, but lost to Hellas. They were relegated from Allsvenskan in 1939 and have not returned since. Overtime (sports)
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament. The rules of overtime or extra time vary between sports and even different competitions. Some may employ " sudden death", where the first player or team who scores immediately wins the game. IFK Skövde is a Swedish handball club from the city of Skövde, whose roots can be traced back to 1907. The current organization, however, got its shape through a reorganization in 1991. The team has been in the Handbollsligan (Swedish highest handball league) since the 1990/91 season, when it ended just outside the playoffs. IFK Uddevalla is a Swedish football club located in Uddevalla and played two seasons in the highest Swedish league, Allsvenskan, in 1925–26 and 1926–27. IFK Örebro is a Swedish football club located in Örebro. Background Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Örebro were founded in 1900 and are Närke's second oldest sports club.
