Handbollsligan
Handbollsligan ''(literally, "The Handball league")'' is the highest league in the league system of Swedish handball, and comprises the top 14 Swedish handball teams. The first season began in 1931–32. The season ends with a playoff. Structure The season starts in September with a regular season comprising 14 teams meeting each other twice. A total of 26 rounds. The eight best teams after the regular season qualifies for the play-off. The 14th team is relegated, and the 11th, 12th and 13th team plays matches against the second, third and fourth from Allsvenskan to qualify for next season's Handbollsligan. The season ends with the finals in the beginning of May and the winning team qualifies directly to EHF European League and the losing team qualifies for the EHF European Cup. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. Redbergslids IK (RIK), is a handball team from Gothenburg, Sweden founded in 1916. Redbergslids is the most successful club in Sweden, having won 20 Swedish Championship titles. Home games are played in Prioritet Serneke Arena. Redbergslid is the only Scandinavian club to win the EHF Champions League ( 1959). They also reached the final of the EHF Cup Winner's Cup in 2003. 1934–35 Svenska Mästerskapet (men's Handball)
The 1934–35 Svenska mästerskapet was the fourth staging of the Svenska mästerskapet, a tournament held to determine the Swedish Champions of men's handball. Teams qualified by winning their respective District Championships. 17 teams competed in the tournament. Redbergslids IK were the defending champions, but failed to qualify by losing to Göteborgs IK in the District Championship of Gothenburg. Majornas IK won the title, defeating Stockholms-Flottans IF in the final. The final was played on 30 March in Skeppsholmshallen in Stockholm, and was watched by 1,182 spectators. Majornas IK
Majornas IK is a Swedish sport club from Gothenburg founded in 1916. The club is most famous for its handball team, who have been Swedish champions 7 times (1935, 1940, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1946). Until 1964 they had played all seasons but one in the top flight, but have not played there since. They currently play in Division 4, the 6th level. When the club started, it was mainly concentrated on association football, but the football section was discontinued in 2006 because of a lack of players. Stockholms-Flottans IF
Stockholms-Flottans IF were a handball club from Stockholm. They played in the first Swedish championship final in 1932, but lost to Flottans IF Karlskrona. They reached the final again in 1933, but were beaten by Redbergslid. In 1934–35, they were founding members of Allsvenskan. In the same year they reached the Swedish championship final again, but were defeated by Majorna Majorna () was until 2011 one of the 21 boroughs of Gothenburg Municipality. Since 2011 it is joined with the former borough of Linnéstaden and they do together form the new borough of "Majorna-Linné". It was composed of four districts: * .... SoIK Hellas is a sports club in Stockholm, Sweden, established on 14 May 1899 as Pastorns gossar by Katarina Parish confirmation priest Ernst Klefbeck, before changing name to SoIK Hellas in 1912, also on the initiative of Ernst Klefbeck. Flottans IF Karlskrona
Karlskrona Handboll was a Swedish handball club based in Karlskrona, founded in 1920. They were the first Swedish champions in 1932. They were founding members of Allsvenskan in 1934–35. They reached the Swedish championship final again in 1936, but lost to Hellas. They were relegated from Allsvenskan in 1939 and have not returned since.
