The 1929 Campeonato Paulista was the 28th season of São Paulo's top association football league. Two championships were disputed that season, each by a different league (APEA and LAF). APEA Championship In the edition organized by the APEA (Associação Paulista de Esportes Atléticos), Corinthians won the title for the 7th time. no teams were relegated and the top scorer was Feitiço with 13 goals. System The championship was disputed in a single round-robin system, with the team with the most points winning the title. Championship LAF Championship The edition organized by the LAF (Liga dos Amadores de Futebol) in 1929, is the last edition of amateur level of football in São Paulo realized. The Campeonato Paulista Série A1, commonly known as Campeonato Paulista, nicknamed Paulistão, is the top-flight professional association football, football league in the Brazilian States of Brazil, state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo. Friedenreich
Arthur Friedenreich (18 July 1892 – 6 September 1969) was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. He was nicknamed ''The Tiger'' or ''The Original "Black" Pearl'', and was arguably the sport's first outstanding mixed-race player. He played when Brazilian football was still amateur, which lasted until 1933. He is occasionally identified as one of the all-time top scorers in football history, although this is highly disputed. Paulista Futebol Clube, or Paulista as they are usually called, is a Brazilian football team from Jundiaí, in São Paulo, founded on 17 May 1909. Associação Atlética São Bento, was an association football club from the Brazilian metropolis São Paulo. The club existed between 1914 and 1935 and won the State Championship of São Paulo in 1914 and twice. Jabaquara Atlético Clube, or simply Jabaquara, is a Football in Brazil, Brazilian football Football team, team based in Santos, São Paulo, Santos, São Paulo (state), São Paulo.
