	1926–27 Michigan Wolverines Men's Basketball Team The 1926–27 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team represented the University of Michigan in intercollegiate college basketball during the 1926–27 season. The team played its home games at Yost Arena on the school's campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The team won the Western Conference Championship outright. picture info	Franklin Cappon Franklin C. "Cappy" Cappon (October 17, 1900 – November 29, 1961) was an American college football and college basketball player and coach. He played football and basketball at Phillips University and the University of Michigan and coached at Luther College (Iowa), Luther College (1923–1924), the University of Kansas (1926–1927), the University of Michigan (1925, 1928–1938), and Princeton University (1938–1961). The son of a wealthy leather manufacturer in Holland, Michigan, Cappon was a star athlete in both basketball and football, and was named to All-Western football teams in 1920, 1921, and 1922. Before accepting a position at Princeton, Cappon was an assistant athletic director and basketball coach at Michigan from 1928 to 1938. 	Joe Truskowski Joseph E. "Truck" Truskowski ( – July 1959) was an American football, basketball and baseball player and coach. He played college football, basketball and baseball at the University of Michigan. He later served as the head baseball coach at Iowa State from 1936 to 1937 and at Wayne State in 1941 and from 1946 to 1959. Early years Truskowski was born in Detroit in approximately 1906. He attended Detroit's Northwestern High School where he was a star athlete from 1923 to 1925. Athletic career Truskowski played three years each at the end position for the Michigan football team and as a forward for the Michigan basketball team. At the end of the 1928 season, he was selected as the captain of the 1929 Michigan Wolverines football team. He played primarily a fullback, in college at the for the University of Michigan and for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the New York Yankees, the Green Bay Packers. and the New York Giants. Moldena played for two Big Ten Conference championship teams at Michigan and four NFL championship teams, three with the Packers and one with the Giants. Molenda was the backfield coach for the Packers in 1947 and 1948, as has the same with the Chicago Hornets of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) in 1949. He served as the head football coach at Menlo College, then a junior college, located in Atherton, California, from 1950 to 1969. Youth Molenda was born in Illinois and attended school in Decatur.
