1924–25 Army Cadets Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 1924–25 Army Cadets men's ice hockey season was the 22nd season of play for the program. The team was coached by Ray Marchand in his 2nd season. Season For Marchand's second season behind the bench, he would have to rebuild a team that lost all three starting forwards and its goaltender. Two reserves from last season (Heidner and Maude) were joined by new entry Thiebaud for the new offensive line while last year's reserve netminder, Lewis, was promoted to the starting role. Unfortunately, Army was again hampered by a lack of ice due to warm weather and had few opportunities to practice throughout the season. Despite the lack of familiarity between the forwards, Army got off to a good start, scoring 10 goals in its first three games. The Army Black Knights men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the United States Military Academy. The Black Knights are a member of Atlantic Hockey and play at the Tate Rink in West Point, New York. History The men's ice hockey program at West Point has been in existence since the 1903–04 season. Hobey Baker Memorial Rink is a 2,092-seat hockey arena in Princeton, New Jersey. It is home to the Princeton University Tigers men's and women's ice hockey teams as well as the venue for club and intramural hockey teams, intramural broomball, figure skating and recreational skating. It is the only ice skating rink on the Princeton University campus. It is named in honor of former Princeton star Hobart A.H. "Hobey" Baker, '14. Baker was a football and hockey star who died shortly after World War I. In December 1921, it was decided to build an on-campus arena for the hockey team, and to name it after Baker. Bates Bobcats
The Bates Bobcats are the athletic teams of Bates College largely based in Lewiston, Maine and the surrounding areas. The college's official mascot has been the bobcat since 1924, and maintains garnet as its official color. The school sponsors 32 varsity sports (16 men's, 16 women's), most of which compete in the Division III New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).
