Swedish Football Champions
Swedish football champions ( sv, Svenska mästare i fotboll) is a title held by the winners of the highest Swedish football league played each year, Allsvenskan. Malmö FF are the holders of the record of most titles with 22 Swedish championships. After winning the 2021 Allsvenskan, Malmö FF are also the reigning Swedish football champions. The title has been contested since 1896 in varying forms of competition. The first Swedish Champions, Örgryte IS, were declared in 1896 when the club won the cup tournament Svenska Mästerskapet. This happened before there existed any Swedish national association, which was not created until 1904. The winners of Svenska Mästerskapet between 1896 and 1904 have retroactively been declared holders of the title by the Swedish Football Association (SvFF). IFK Gävle
IFK Gävle was a sports club in Gävle, Sweden. It was founded on 12 March 1897 and the club used the old spelling of their home town's name, ''IFK Gefle'', until 1943. The club has been active in a great number of different sports, like bandy, figure skating, gymnastics, handball, ice hockey, soccer, tennis and track and field athletics. From 2001, only the women's soccer team section remained until the club was dissolved in November 2013. The club was runner-up to the Swedish bandy championship in 1907, where the final game, played at home ice, was lost against IFK Uppsala. Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg (officially IFK Göteborg Fotboll), commonly known as IFK Göteborg, IFK (especially locally) or simply Göteborg, is a Swedish professional football club based in Gothenburg. Vikingarnas FK
Vikingarnas FK was a Swedish football club which was founded in 1908. The team was made up of the best players from IFK Stockholm and IFK Uppsala as well as some other IFK clubs, and also other clubs during matches in Svenska Serien. Vikingarnas FK played two matches in 1908, five matches in 1909, and before the league start of Svenska Serien in 1910, the club played seven matches, of which four were played during a tour to the Netherlands. The club played its matches in Stockholm. They finished 6th in the first season of Svenska Serien, and withdrew after having played only one match in 1911–12, the second season, due to a new rule that stated that a team may only have players from one club. Göteborgs FF is a Swedish football club located in Gothenburg. Background Göteborgs Fotbollförening was founded on 20 August 1897 and is located in Gothenburg. The club is two times runners-up in Svenska Mästerskapet (first in 1899 and then in 1903) which decided the Swedish Champions in early Swedish football. The club was considered a feeder club of Örgryte IS, and played their home matches at Walhalla IP which was owned by Örgryte. The club participated in the two first seasons of Svenska Serien, finishing fifth in 1910, and being excluded after the season, but then being readmitted the next season since two clubs withdrew after only one game. IFK Eskilstuna
IFK Eskilstuna is a Swedish football club located in Eskilstuna in Södermanland County. In their early seasons IFK had a proud record as an Allsvenskan club but they now play in Division 2 Västra Svealand, which is the fourth tier of Swedish football.
