Wilhelmina Fundin
Wilhelmina ("Mina") Christina Fundin (12 July 1819 – 28 January 1911) was a Swedish operatic soprano who sang at the Royal Swedish Opera without interruption for 30 years. In the mid-1800s, she was considered to be one of the opera's most talented performers. Biography Born on 12 July 1819 in Stockholm, Wilhelmina Fundin was the daughter of the precentor of St Clara's Church, Carl Axel Fundin, and Christina Margaretha Wikström. Her mother managed a boarding home for the students of the Royal Dramatic Training Academy in 1837-47. Her friend and colleague Jenny Lind met when she was fourteen. She called her "Mina Fundin" and they were cared for by the theatre who had adopted them as contracted apprentices. After entering the Royal Theatre's school in 1833, she was engaged as an actress and opera singer in 1841. Hilda Lund
Hilda Maria Lund (née Lindh, 21 December 18407 October 1911) was a Swedish ballerina at the Royal Swedish Ballet at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm. Lund was a ballet student in 1849, a second dancer in 1861 and elevated to a premier ballerina in 1866–1888. She performed the leading parts of many of the ballets staged at the royal opera in the 1870s and 1880s and was in 1887 described as "the acknowledged most distinguished female dancer of the royal opera". She was an instructor at the ballet in 1889–1894. She married her colleague, the ballet master Sigurd Harald Lund Sigurd Harald Lund (1823-1906), was a ballet dancer, choreographer and director. Rosalie Fougelberg
''Rosalie'' Ingeborg Karolina Fougelberg (29 December 1841 – 8 May 1911) is known as Sweden's first female dentist after the profession was opened to women. She was the daughter of the dentist of the Royal Court of Sweden, and her father's assistant. In 1861, the dentist profession was legally opened to women. Fougelberg tried twice to get her dentist's certificate; the second time, she was approved by the medical examiners but not by the dentistry representative. During her third try in 1866, the examination was supervised by the press. She was still turned down by the Collegium Medicum, but given a royal dispensation by the monarch, Charles XV of Sweden. She was thereby the first woman dentist since the profession was opened for women: Amalia Assur had been licensed before, but she was given a special permission, before the profession was officially opened to women. Elsa Eschelsson
Elsa Olava Kristina Eschelsson (11 November 1861 – 10 March 1911) was the first woman to finish a Doctor of Laws (''juris utriusque doctor'') degree and the first to attain the academic position of docent at a Swedish university, but was denied the right to even serve as acting professor because of her sex. She died in 1911 from an overdose of sleeping-powder. Life Elsa Eschelsson was born in Norrköping. As most of the earliest generation of women to study at Swedish universities, she came from a well-to-do bourgeois background, daughter of Anders Olof Eschelsson, the owner of a soap factory who also served as Prussian consul in Norrköping. Elsa's mother Carolina Lovisa Ulrika Frestadius was her husband's cousin and daughter of a prominent Stockholm industrialist, A. W. Frestadius. After his wife's death, A. O.
