The 1884–85 season was the 12th season of competitive football in Scotland. This season saw three further additions to the list of regional competitions with the inaugural playing of the Dumbartonshire Cup The Dumbartonshire Cup was the championship trophy of the Dumbartonshire FA from its inception in 1884 until the organization disbanded in 1938. Dunblane (, gd, Dùn Bhlàthain) is a small town in the council area of Stirling in central Scotland, and inside the historic boundaries of the county of Perthshire.
