Johan Petter Åhlén
Johan Petter Åhlén (13 April 1879 – 31 March 1939) was a Swedish businessperson who founded Åhléns. He was also a Swedish curling pioneer and winner of a silver medal in the 1924 Winter Olympics. Biography Johan Petter Åhlén was the son of farmers Marits Anders Andersson and Brittas Karin Christoffersdotter. He was born Johan Petter Andersson, but changed his surname to Åhlén after his birthplace (which was called Åhl by the time of his name change) to avoid being confused with numerous namesakes. In 1903 he married Elin Maria Charlotta Brolin and with her he had the sons Gösta Mauritz Åhlén and Anders Ragnar Åhlén, who both became managing directors of his companies. Anna Nordlander
Anna Catharina Nordlander (28 October 1843 – 26 February 1879), was a Swedish painter. She is known for her portraits and her depictions of genre- nature- and folk life: she is also counted as a pioneer in the illustration of the lives of the Forest Sami (''Skogssamar'') of northern Sweden. Biography Anna Nordlander was born in the vicarage at Skellefteå in Västerbotten County, Sweden to Nils Nordlander (1796–1874) and Anna Maria Gestrin. Her father was parish vicar and in 1841 among the founders of the town of Skellefteå. She studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts (1866) under Jean-François Portaels in Brussels and at the Académie Julian in Paris. Nordlander is represented in several Swedish museums including the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. She was not particularly acknowledged until the late 20th-century. Anna Johansdotter Norbäck
Anna Johansdotter Norbäck (25 March 1804 – 3 January 1879), also known as ('Mother Anna') and , was a Swedish religious leader, the founder and leader of the religious movement '' Annaniterna'' ('the Annanites'), who was named after her; however, they referred to themselves as the Evangelical Lutheran Free Church. The movement was founded in Ångermanland in the 1830s, broke off from the Swedish church in 1854 and lasted until the late 19th century. Life Norbäck was born to boatswain Johan Norbäck in Norrvästansjö village in Själevad Parish, Ångermanland. The family was poor, and she began work as a servant girl after finishing school and being confirmed at 14 years of age. In the following years she met and learned from others active in the ''Läsare'' (Reader) and Pietist revivalist movements popular in the region, including Pehr Brandell, Maja Stina Pehrsdotter and Maja Lena Nilsdotter. Johanna Kristina "Hanna" Grönvall (10 December 1879 in Västra Sallerup, Malmöhus län – 22 May 1953) was a Swedish politician (Swedish Social Democratic Party) and trade union worker. She played a major role in the improvement of the working conditions for domestic workers as the President of the Stockholm Housemaid Union and the co-founder of the national house maids trade union. Life Grönwall was born to the blacksmith Nils Grönvall and Petronella Nilsson. She worked as a house maid from 1900 until 1934. She eventually settled in Stockholm, and became a member of the Swedish Social Democratic Party and engaged in the working union. She was the secretary of the '' Stockholms hembiträdesförening'' ( Stockholm Housemaid Union) 1910-1914 and its chair in 1914—1941.
