Norway, officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a Nordic country in Northern Europe, the mainland territory of which comprises the western and northernmost portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Hjalmar Krag
Hjalmar Krag (2 July 1867 – 25 April 1954) was a Norwegian military officer, businessman and sports official. Krag was born in Vestre Aker to director of the Norwegian Directorate of Public Roads, Hans Hagerup Krag, and Anna Marie Pedersen. He married Claudine Emilie Heiberg in 1896. He graduated as military officer in 1889, and from the Norwegian Military College in 1893. He served as adjutant to Haakon VII of Norway from 1905 to 1908. From 1909 to 1912 he lectured at the Norwegian Military Academy The Norwegian Military Academy (), in Oslo, educates officers of the Norwegian Army and serves as the King's Royal Guard. Martin Julius Halvorsen (4 November 1867 – 7 March 1951) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician for the Labour and Social Democratic Labour parties. Born in Kristiania, he took an education as a book printer. Having founded his own printing press in 1897, he moved it from Kristiania to rural Jessheim in 1902. Here, he founded the newspaper ''Akershusingen'', renamed to ''Romerikes Blad'' in 1904. Christian Hansen Wollnick
Christian Hansen Wollnick (8 October 1867 – 27 March 1936) was a Norwegian newspaper editor, jurist and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Tjølling as the son of a shipmaster. He took his secondary education in Skien in 1885 and worked one year as a school teacher in Larvik. He then embarked on several parallel careers; he enrolled in the military, studied law parallel and pursued a journalistic career. As a military officer he reached the ranks of Premier Lieutenant in 1894 and Captain in 1903. He had started early as a journalist, and edited the newspaper ''Ørebladet'' from 1891 to 1892. In 1895, he graduated with the cand.jur. degree. He spent the years 1896 and 1897 as a law clerk in Trondhjem, before moving to Kristiansund N. Here, he was a solicitor from 1899 to 1904, and also edited the local newspaper '' Møre Tidende''. He was also a deputy member of the city council for a short period. Anathon August Fredrik Aall (15 August 1867 – 9 January 1943) was a Norwegian academic, philosopher and psychologist. Originally educated as a theologian, he became a professor of philosophy at University of Oslo. Background He was born at Nesseby in Finnmark, Norway. He was a son of vicar Niels Anton Aall (1833–1896) and his wife Mathilde Susanne Dahl (1842–1910). His grandfather, Hans Cato Aall (1807-1862), was a Member of Parliament and mayor of Hammerfest. He was also a great-great-great-grandson of Nicolai Benjamin Aall, and a great-great-grandnephew of Niels, Jørgen and Jacob Aall. He was the brother of jurist and Fascist politician Herman Harris Aall (1871-1957). His sister Marna Aall (1873–1948) was married to philosopher Kristian Birch-Reichenwald Aars from 1895 to 1910. Johanne Dybwad
Johanne Dybwad (née Juell; 2 August 1867 – 4 March 1950) was a Norwegian stage actress and stage producer. She was the leading actress in Norwegian theatre for half a century. Early and personal life Johanne was born in Christiania (now Oslo) as the daughter of actor Mathias Juell (1835–1894) and actress Johanne Regine Elvig (1847–1882). Both her parents were acting for the Christiania Theatre. Her mother was the first Norwegian to play "Nora" in Ibsen's ''A Doll's House'', in 1880. Her mother died in 1882, only 34 years old, and Johanne grew up with her aunt in Bergen. Her foster parents wanted to keep her away from the theatre, but she wanted to become an actress. Career Actress Johanne made her debut at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen 7 November 1887, in the comedy play ''Gertrude eller den lille skat''. Her next role was "Nora" in ''A Doll's House''.
