William Burleigh
William Burleigh (October 24, 1785 – July 2, 1827) was a United States representative from Maine. He was born in Northwood, New Hampshire, on October 24, 1785. He moved with his parents to Gilmanton, New Hampshire, in 1788 where he attended the common schools and taught for several years. He then studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1815 and commenced practice in South Berwick, Maine. He was elected as an Adams-Clay Democratic-Republican to the Eighteenth United States Congress and as an Adams candidate to the Nineteenth, and Twentieth Congresses, and served in the U.S. Congress from March 4, 1823, until his death in South Berwick on July 2, 1827. He served as chairman of Committee on Expenditures in the Department of the Treasury for the Nineteenth Congress. His interment was in Portland Street Cemetery. Enoch Lincoln
Enoch Lincoln (December 28, 1788 – October 8, 1829) was an American politician, serving as U.S. Representative from, successively, Massachusetts and from Maine. He was the son of Levi Lincoln Sr. and his wife, and the younger brother of Levi Lincoln Jr. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Lincoln graduated from Harvard College in 1807. He was elected and served as Governor of Maine from 1827 until his death in October 1829. He studied law, was admitted to the bar, and started his practice in Salem in 1811. He served as United States district attorney 1815–1818, and in 1819 moved to Paris, Maine ( then a district of Massachusetts), and continued the practice of law. In November 1818, Lincoln was elected as a Democratic-Republican-MA, representing the Maine district, to the Fifteenth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Albion K. Parris. David Kidder (December 8, 1787 – November 1, 1860) was an American politician and a member of the United States House of Representatives from Maine. Kidder was born on December 8, 1787, in Pownalborough, Massachusetts (now known as Dresden, Maine). He pursued classical studies with private tutors, studied law, was admitted to the bar, and commenced practice in Bloomfield. He moved to Skowhegan in 1817, and then to Norridgewock in 1821. He was a prosecuting attorney of Somerset County from 1811 to 1823. Kidder was elected as an Adams-Clay Democratic-Republican to the Eighteenth Congress and re-elected as an Adams candidate to the Nineteenth Congress. He served from March 4, 1823, to March 3, 1827. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1826. He returned to Skowhegan in 1827 and returned to the practice of law. He was a member of the Maine House of Representatives in 1829.
