David Trimble (congressman)
David Trimble (June 1782 – October 20, 1842) was a U.S. Representative from Kentucky. Born in Frederick County, Virginia, in June 1782, Trimble graduated from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1799. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar and commenced legal practice in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. He owned slaves. He served in the War of 1812 as brigade quartermaster of the First Brigade, Kentucky Mounted Militia, and later as a private in the Battalion of Kentucky Mounted Infantry Volunteers commanded by Major Dudley. Trimble was elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Fifteenth through the Seventeenth Congress. He was reelected as an Adams-Clay Republican to the Eighteenth Congress and elected as an Adams candidate to the Nineteenth Congress (March 4, 1817 – March 3, 1827). John Calhoon
John Calhoon (April 13, 1793October 15, 1852) was a United States representative from Kentucky. He was born in Henry County, Kentucky in 1797. He studied law, was admitted to the bar, and practiced. Calhoon was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives in 1820, 1821, 1829, and 1830. He was unsuccessful candidate for election to the Twentieth Congress. He received the credentials of an election as an Adams candidate to the Twentieth Congress, held November 5–7, 1827, to fill the Vacancy (economics), vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative William S. Young, but, in order to avoid a contest, resigned and, together with his opponent, Thomas Chilton, petitioned the Governor of Kentucky for a new election. He was again unsuccessful in this election. Tunstall Quarles ( – January 7, 1855) was a United States lawyer and politician, as well as one of the pioneer settlers of Somerset, Kentucky in Pulaski County. Quarles was born in King William County, Virginia. He moved to Kentucky in 1786 with his parents, Tunstall and Susanna Edwards Quarles. He married Pamella Stranger and had ten children. Quarles came to Somerset sometime before 1812, for in May 1812, he was one of a commission to supervise the building of a County Clerk's office. Quarles was a lawyer and became a member of the state legislature in 1811 and 1812. In the War of 1812, he armed and equipped a company of the Second Regiment Kentucky Militia at his own expense and then commanded them. After the war, he served as a circuit court judge. He was elected as a Democrat-Republican to be a member of the Fifteenth and Sixteenth Congresses and served from March 1817 until his resignation in June 1820.
