Ulla Adlerfelt
Ulrika "Ulla" Sofia Adlerfelt, née ''Sparre af Sundby'' (21 July 1736 – 1 August 1765), was a Swedish artist (painter) and noble. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts.''Svenskt konstnärslexikon'' (Swedish Art dictionary). Red. Johnny Roosval & Gösta Lilja. Malmö: Allhems Förlag 1952. She was born in Stockholm, the daughter of Count Axel Sparre af Sundby and Augusta Thörnflycht and married to Baron Carl Adlerfelt. She was the student of Gustaf Lundberg. She drew, and painted in oil. She died in Malmö. Auguste-Louis de Rossel de Cercy (22 June 1736 – 27 February 1804) was a French Navy officer and painter of the 18th century. He especially painted naval scenes. Biography Cercy was born in Dompierre-sur-Mer in 1736 from an aristocratic family. He joined the French Navy as a Garde-Marine in 1751 in Rochefort. In 1752, he was appointed to French frigate Friponne (1747), ''Friponne''. In 1754, he transferred on the 50-gun French ship Aigle (1750), ''Aigle'', and the year after on the 64-gun French ship Inflexible (1755), ''Inflexible''. In 1756, he served first on the frigate ''Aquilon'', and then on the 80-gun French ship Duc de Bourgogne (1751), ''Duc de Bourgogne'', and the year after on the 64-gun French ship Saint Michel (1741), ''Saint Michel''. Simon Charles Miger
Simon-Charles Miger (Nemours, 19 February 1736 – Paris, 28 February 1828) was a French engraver, most notable for the plates he produced for ''La Ménagerie du Muséum national d'histoire naturelle'' by Lacépède, Saint-Hilaire and Cuvier. Life and work Son of a tanner who sent him to study in Paris, Miger took various jobs including teacher, tutor and secretary before discovering a passion for engraving. He apprenticed to Charles Nicolas Cochin, which employed him as a clerk, and attended the workshop of Johann Georg Wille. He developed into a portraitist, and then fell in love with a woman with whom he courted for four years until his situation finally allow her to marry him. In 1778, Miger was accredited by the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture, where he was admitted as a member in 1781.
