Johan Banér
Johan Banér (23 June 1596 – 10 May 1641) was a Swedish field marshal in the Thirty Years' War. Early life Johan Banér was born at Djursholm Castle in Uppland. As a four-year-old he was forced to witness how his father, the Privy Councillour Gustaf Banér, and uncle, Sten Axelsson Banér (also a Privy Councillour), were executed at the Linköping Bloodbath in 1600. They were accused of high treason by King Charles IX because of their support of King Sigismund. Though it was the father of King Gustavus Adolphus who had Banér's father executed, the two men developed a strong friendship from an early age, mostly because Gustavus Adolphus reinstated the Banér family soon after his coronation. Military career Banér joined the Swedish Army in 1615 when he participated in the Swedish siege of Pskov during the Ingrian War, he proved himself to be an exceptionally brave young man. Hans Wachtmeister
Hans Wachtmeister af Johannishus, ( – ) was admiral general of the Swedish Navy and advisor to King Charles XI of Sweden and King Charles XII of Sweden. He served in the Scanian War of 1675–1679 and during the following twenty years of peace worked to build up the Swedish Navy. When the Great Northern War began in 1700 he was able to take his fleet to sea in good condition. He was governor of Kalmar län between 1680 and 1683. When the new fleet base was established at Karlskrona in 1681, he became governor of a new enlarged county, Kalmar and Blekinge län. Hans Wachtmeister was also admiral general over the entire Swedish Fleet at the same time that he was a governor. In 1681–1683, he took the additional title of ''ståthållare'' or stadtholder. Waldemar Von Wrangel
Waldemar Wrangel af Lindeberg (1641–1675) was a Swedish baron (''Friherre'') and soldier. He was the step-brother of '' Riksamiral'' Carl Gustaf Wrangel. Also known as "Wolmar", he was married to Kristina af Vasaborg, the daughter of an illegitimate son of Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden. Wrangel began his military service at a young age. In the 1650s, as a ''Rittmeister'' ("captain") under Karl X Gustav, he took part in a campaign against Denmark. In the time when Karl XI was under age, Wrangel was a direct employee of the royal house. In 1665 he was appointed colonel in a regiment of horse, with which he participated in a campaign against Bremen. In 1667 he was promoted major general. In the Swedish-Brandenburg War in 1674 he served as a lieutenant general together with his step-brother, who had been ''Reichsmarschall'' since 1664.
