Theobald Dillon, 1st Viscount Dillon (died 1624), was an Irish military commander and adventurer. He held extensive lands in eastern Connacht and north-western Leinster, some acquired by sharp practices. He was a loyal supporter of Elizabeth I of England in her Irish wars. Birth and origins Theobald was probably born at Ballynakill, the habitual home of his father and grandfather. He was the third son of Thomas Dillon and his wife Margery Dillon of Kilmore, also called Mary. His father was the eldest son of his grandfather James Dillon, nicknamed ''the Prior'', because he took care of several monastic properties at the dissolution of the monasteries. Caryll Molyneux, 3rd Viscount Molyneux (1623/24 – 1700) was an English peer. Life He was the younger son of Richard Molyneux, 1st Viscount Molyneux and Mary Caryll, daughter of Sir Thomas Caryll of Bentone in Sussex. He inherited the title from his elder brother, Richard Molyneux, 2nd Viscount Molyneux, in 1654. He married Mary Barlow, daughter of Sir Alexander Barlow of Barlow (elder brother of the Catholic martyr Ambrose Barlow) and his wife Dorothy Gresley, by whom he had one surviving son, William, and five daughters, Mary, Frances, Margaret, Elizabeth and Anne. Molyneux joined the Royalist army at the outbreak of the English Civil War, and served with his brother in the Lancashire Regiment, which was mostly Catholic, through almost all the fighting from Manchester (1642) to Worcester (1651). William Caulfeild, 1st Viscount Charlemont PC (Ire) (1624 – April 1671) was an Irish politician and peer. Background Born in Donamon Castle in County Roscommon, he was the third son of William Caulfeild, 2nd Baron Caulfeild and his wife Mary King, daughter of Sir John King and Catherine Drury. His two older brothers Toby Caulfeild, 3rd Baron Caulfeild and Robert Caulfeild, 4th Baron Caulfeild died both without male issue and he succeeded to the barony on the latter's death in 1644. Career Having been first a leading Parliamentarian under Oliver Cromwell, he captured Sir Phelim O'Neil in 1653 and executed him for rebellion and the murder of his brother Toby and his family. Edward Herbert, 1st Baron Herbert of Cherbury (or Chirbury) KB (3 March 1583 – 5 August 1648) was an English soldier, diplomat, historian, poet and religious philosopher of the Kingdom of England. Life Early life Edward Herbert was the eldest son of Richard Herbert of Montgomery Castle (a member of a collateral branch of the family of the Earls of Pembroke) and of Magdalen, daughter of Sir Richard Newport, and brother of the poet George Herbert. He was born within England at Eyton-on-Severn near Wroxeter, Shropshire. After private tuition, he matriculated at University College, Oxford, as a gentleman commoner, in May 1596. There have been three baronetcies created for persons with the surname Style, one in the Baronetage of Ireland and two in the Baronetage of England. Two of the creations were in favour of the same person. As of 2014 one creation is extant. The Style Baronetcy was created in the Baronetage of Ireland on 13 September 1624 for Humphry Style. On 20 May 1627 he was created a Baronet, of Beckenham in the County of Kent, in the Baronetage of England. Both titles became extinct on his death in 1659. The Style Baronetcy, of Wateringbury in the County of Kent, was created in the baronetage of England on 21 April 1627 for Thomas Style. He served as High Sheriff of Kent in 1634.
