History The earliest record of what is generally considered to be a Swedish king appears in Tacitus' work '' Germania'', c. 100 AD (the king of the Suiones). The wedding between Gustav II Adolf of Sweden and Maria Eleonora of Brandenburg took place at the Royal Castle on November 25, 1620. The bridal train The bridal entourage began its journey at 9.30 in the morning on November 25. In the bridal carriage was Maria Eleonora who just turned 21, and her mother Duchess Anna of Prussia. The bridal train started at Bergshamra outside of Stockholm, and in it was the bride's sister and aunt, eight maids, seven junkers and many carriages, amongst others. The train was greeted by Gustav II Adolf's impressive entourage when they reached Stockholm. The king himself came up to the bride's carriage together with Axel Oxenstierna to greet her. Gustaf Bonde (1620–1667)
Baron Gustaf Bonde (4 February 1620 – 25 May 1667) was a Swedish statesman. He was a persistent advocate of a pacifist policy at a time when war on the slightest provocation was the watchword of every Swedish politician. Even the popular Polish adventure of Charles X of Sweden was strenuously opposed by Bonde, though when once it was decided upon he materially assisted the king to find the means for carrying it on. He was also in favour of strict economy coupled with the recovery of the royal domains which had fallen into the hands of the nobles, though his natural partiality for his fellow-peers came out clearly enough when in 1655 he was appointed a member of Charles X's land-recovery commission. In 1660 he succeeded Herman Fleming as Lord High Treasurer, and was one of the council of regency appointed to govern Sweden during the minority of Charles XI of Sweden. Agneta Rosenbröijer
Agneta Rosenbröijer (ca. 1620 - 11 September 1697) was a Finnish-Swedish nobility, noblewoman and business person. She was a significant figure in the local history of Viborg and Nyslott County, Viborg, known for her pride, temperament and feuds, which has been the subject of many stories. Biography Agneta Rosenbröijer was born in Vyborg. She was the daughter of the burger Tönnies Antonius Bröijer, mayor of Viborg in Swedish Finland. She married in 1640 to merchant Tönnies Antonius Bröijer (d. 1652) who was engaged in commodity trading. As was usual in Sweden at the time, kept her own surname after her marriage In 1647, her father was ennobled with the surname Rosenbröijer. She took her father's new surname and became known as Agneta Rosenbröijer. Widowed in 1652, she took over the trading business of her late spouse. Axel Nilsson Ryning, born 1552, died 8 January 1620, was a Swedish Lord High Admiral, Marshal, Councilor, and Baron to Tuna farm in Österåker parish in the current Österåker municipality in Österskär in Åkersberga, Stockholm county. Son of Nils Eriksson Ryning and Ingeborg Trolle. Biography Ryning was one of Gustav II Adolf's guardians and married to Margareta Bielke, daughter of Claes Nilsson Bielke and Elin Fleming.
