14th National People's Congress
The 14th National People's Congress (NPC) is the sitting electoral term of the "supreme organ of state power" of the People's Republic of China. It convened in Beijing, on 5 March 2023, and is scheduled to continue until March 2028. Elections for the new Congress were held from October 2022 to February 2023. It is scheduled to hold five sessions in this period, occurring around early March every year until before 2028, when the 15th National People's Congress is expected to be elected from December 2027 to February 2028 and will likely be in session around March 2028. A legislature is an deliberative assembly, assembly with the authority to make laws for a Polity, political entity such as a Sovereign state, country or city. Losang Jamcan
Losang Jamcan, also spelled Losang Gyaltsen (; ; born July 1957), is a Chinese politician of Tibetan ethnicity. He is the President of Tibet Autonomous Region People's Congress Standing Committee, and former Chairman (governor) of Tibet Autonomous Region and Mayor of Tibetan capital Lhasa. Career Losang Jamcan was born in Zhag'yab County, Chamdo Prefecture in eastern Tibet. From December 1971 to February 1976 he attended Tibet University for Nationalities in Xianyang, Shaanxi province, studying Literature. After graduating he worked at the university for 10 years as an instructor and an official of the school Communist Youth League. Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League
The Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL), also known by its Chinese abbreviation Taimeng ( zh , s = 台盟 , t = 臺盟 ), is one of the eight legally recognized minor political parties in the People's Republic of China that are members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference under the Chinese Communist Party's United Front. It was founded in the then-British colony of Hong Kong in November 1947, by members of the Taiwanese Communist Party who survived the February 28 incident. Revolutionary Committee Of The Chinese Kuomintang
The Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), also commonly known, especially when referenced historically, as the Left Kuomintang or Left Guomindang, is one of the eight legally recognised minor political parties in the People's Republic of China that follow the direction of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It was founded in January 1948, during the height of the Chinese Civil War, by members of the left wing of the Kuomintang (KMT), especially those who were against Chiang Kai-shek's policies. The China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA), sometimes translated as the China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA), also known by its Chinese abbreviation Minjian (), is one of the eight legally recognized minor political parties in the People's Republic of China under the control of the Chinese Communist Party. China Democratic League
The China Democratic League (CDL) is one of the eight legally recognized minor political parties in the People's Republic of China under the Chinese Communist Party's United Front. The CDL was originally founded in 1941 as an umbrella coalition group of the Chinese National Socialist Party, the Chinese Youth Party and the Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party to fight the Imperial Japanese Army while providing for a "Third Way". By 2020, the party had grown to 330,600 members, making it the largest legally recognized minor political party in the People's Republic of China. The Jiusan Society () is one of the eight legally recognised minor political parties in the People's Republic of China under the direction of the Chinese Communist Party. The party's original name was "Democracy and Science Forum" on its informal founding in 1944; the current name refers to the date of Chinese victory in the Second Sino-Japanese War (3 September 1945). The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), officially the Communist Party of China (CPC), is the founding and sole ruling party of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
