The 12th National People's Congress (NPC) was elected in national congressional conferences from October 2012 to February 2013 and was in session from 2013 to 2018. It succeeded the 11th National People's Congress. It held five plenary sessions in this period, occurring around early March every year. It was succeeded by the communing of the 13th National People's Congress. Han Qide ( zh , t = 韓啓德, s = 韩启德 , p = Hán Qǐdé; born July 1945) is a Chinese physician and politician. Han is currently the chairman of the Jiusan Society and a member of the Chinese Communist Party. He was the vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and is the vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
