Alexander Ramey-Home, 10th Earl of Home (11 November 1769 – 21 October 1841), styled Lord Dunglass from 1781 to 1786, was a British politician and nobleman. He served as a representative peer for Scotland between 1807 and 1841. He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Berwickshire militia. He was given the name of Alexander Home at birth, but on 1 March 1814, his name was legally changed to Alexander Ramey-Home by Royal Licence.

Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch, 7th Duke of Queensberry, (born Walter Francis Montagu-Scott; 25 November 1806 – 16 April 1884), styled Lord Eskdail between 1808 and 1812 and Earl of Dalkeith between 1812 and 1819, was a prominent Scottish nobleman, landowner and politician. Earl of Home ( ) is a title in the Peerage of Scotland. It was created in 1605 for Alexander Home of that Ilk, 6th Lord Home. The Earl of Home holds, among others, the subsidiary titles of Lord Home (created 1473), and Lord Dunglass (1605), in the Peerage of Scotland; and Baron Douglas, of Douglas in the County of Lanark (1875) in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. James Maitland, 9th Earl Of Lauderdale
James Maitland, 9th Earl of Lauderdale (12 May 1784 – 22 August 1860), styled Viscount Maitland between 1789 and 1839, was a British peer and Whig politician. Background and education Lauderdale was the son of James Maitland, 8th Earl of Lauderdale, and Eleanor, daughter of Anthony Todd. He was educated at Eton and the University of Edinburgh. Political career Lauderdale sat as Member of Parliament for Camelford from 1806 to 1807, for Richmond, Yorkshire, from 1818 to 1820 and for Appleby from 1828 to 1832. In 1839 he succeeded his father in the earldom and entered the House of Lords. He also served as Lord Lieutenant of Berwickshire between 1841 and 1860. Family Lord Lauderdale died at Thirlestane Castle, Berwickshire, in August 1860, aged 76. He was unmarried and was succeeded in the earldom by his younger brother, Admiral Sir Anthony Maitland.
